Question edited for clarity. Question moved from 'Brightcut'. Copying and Printing still use the same toner to print. Take the toner cartridges out and tap them end on to a table. Turn over and tap the other end. Then holding the cartridge at about 30' to flat, start tapping the cartridge to level out the clumped toner. If that doesn't fix it, the light source is fading. You can check that by pressing copy with no paper in it and looking at the light. It should be even brightness all the way across.
