If the software and label haven't changed then there is a defect in the printer.

Error Printer error 3806 3807 3808 3809 3810 or 3811 Kodak does not say what the error is but they do show how to deal with it.

Dab the cartridges on a tissue and see if the image comes out solid, ink I mean. By doing this you can rule out the cartridge. Don't assume that fresh cartridges are okay. I have been in the printer business for years and seen many cartridges that are defective from the shelf.

Happens to me a lot I keep removing and replacing them 1 at a time until the message goes away.

Hello Gordon, On your computer, click the Windows Button, Select 'Control Panel. A window appears 'Program' on the left hand side, below it you will find 'Uninstall A program'. When you click the 'Unistall' a list of all the programs appear in a window. Select the program you wish to uninstall, it is only then the 'UNINSTALL' button next to the 'Organize' button. The computer will ask you to confirm the 'Uninstall' option. Hope this helps.

Search inside for anything that should not be there. I found a paper clip, chewing gum wrapper, dust build up, bits of paper, a christmas ornament, all sorts of things can do this. Sometimes very small things. Use a can of compressed air to clean it put well. Hope this helps.

Hi. Love Kodak, the printed being loose can only mean one thing the clip is broken. After you removed the ink did you remove the head? If so why? Let's try something, going to look at my Kodak printer. Ok so there is a grey tab that holds the top of the head. They put a bullseye looking sticker in the middle if the head. That's the only place you need to push to secure the head. It should make a clicking sound. If you don't hear that click the tab is broken and the carriage needs tho be replaced cheaper tho buy new. Do a visual check FIRST. Look at the carriage look on the top to see if you see a tab. Could be grey, or green right in the middle of the head. If you don't see it, may be gone. Sorry.

Hello Shirley, I have found out by unplugging the printer then plugging it back in (a hard boot) does wonders for this printer. Using the power button does not work to bring back the wifi connection. I hope this helps!! Good Luck! Rich Lilja

if u can't clean the print head and there is ink in the cartridge, then a new printer is in the plan. try cleaning head by placing a pad soaked in alcohol (not Tequila) on the head for a while then gently wiping it clean. If u can remove other parts that r full of ink to clean them do that - careful that ink will get everywhere.

the print head may be bad, sometimes you can take it out and clean it, just soak it in a milliter of water, dont get the componets wet, ive done this with qtips, sometimes it will reopen and sometimes not for kodaks you can find them on ebay for 40 bucks, Matt

replacing a cartridge, while the nozzles are blocked won't help. Realise the printer will mix there colours to get "black" on the paper. So even a full cartridge, can't make the other colours black till the blockage is gone. Please try this. If you have ink cleaning fluid, (only for printer ink) use that, if you dont have cleaning fluid, use clean water. Open the printer as if you replace a cartridge. Remove the black one and look tot the bottom of the cartridge holder. There is a little pipe, where the ink should go in. put some drops water or cleaning fluid in there leave it a few minutes. with a tissue dry it and again insert some drops of water or cleaning fluid. Then put in a cartridge and give the printer a black and white print job. Like print a few A4 papers. Let it print till the black comes back. Can take up to 4 pages A4. I hope this will unblock the nozzles. Please even if you don't need to print, switch the printer on at least once a week. And even better, let it do a bit of printing every week. This will save a lot of frustration.
