Sounds like a disk error. I would run HDD to check.

Their may be a problem within the Inverter man.

go to control panel then select programs and features, uninstall lenovo readycomm and restart pc. If you still have the same problem, uninstall the wireless driver in device manager and restart your computer. Restarting the computer would automatically install the driver that you removed earlier.

Sounds like your fan, has  gone faulty? or perhaps rubbing on something? is it a dvd left in the drive?

If is was working before... it may just be your Router that issues the IP Number. Routers do lock up as well as Modems. I would reset or boot the router and modem leaving off for at least 20 seconds. Start Modem first wait 10 sec start Router. May help if you have XP to also reboot the PC by doing a complete shut down.
Common problem if you do connect to different networks and maybe use the wireless feature off site.

there might problem of your dvd drive not working,, or else can be happen some times that your dvd R is not able to read with your dvd drive..

Have you checked the thermal grease underneath the heat sink in the laptop. If it's dried out, that would explain why it doesn't stay on that long.

If it's dried up, use rubbing alcohol and clean the dried up material and then use compressed air to dry the cpu and head sink. Use phase change material (arctic silver). Also, clean all of the dust out of the laptop. Try this solution.

Sounds like your keyboard is either not connected securely or it is faulty.

Hi,
Go to Speakers properties > levels > mute pc beep.

That should stop the annoying power beep but not the startup jungle.
