The code 10178 worked for my coby 3225 on my DirecTV R64 remote.

1. Press and hold the TV key. 2. While holding down the TV key, press OK. 3. Release both keys. The Device Keys will blink twice.
Ideally we do not have code for coby TV. So we need to manually program the remote
TV and Cable box should be both powered on.
4. Press 9 - 2 - 2. 5. Point the remote at the TV. 6. Press PLAY Press FAST-FORWARD. Every time you press FF the remote sends out a new power-off command to the TV. Keep pressing FF until the TV turns off. (You can press REWIND to go back 1 code.) 8. When the TV turns off, you have found the right code. Press OK to store this code. 9. Press TV and the power should go on. You will now have volume control also.

TIP: Press ff slowly so you know when it powers off and when you need to save the code by hitting OK after it powers off.

The LCD inverter board is dead.That why u not getting a backlight to the LCD screen to get a picture.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish LCD inverter for the replacement.It a long board.

No you cant, coby has no universal remote codes

I did not solve the problem, but I was very disappointed that I had to join something to get some help.
