you can, if you have it already set up on another computer, copy it from the lib on your HDD and save to a USB drive and then replace the one on the 64 bit computer with it. Some software simply will not work with 64 bit OS's though it is rare.

your video card and/or drivers are probably bad - this is not good if you don't have a warranty or service contract for the laptop. It's possible it could be heat related - I would make sure the unit is cleaned and dusted off and provide for ventilation to dissipate heat buildup. Heat is a system killer, especially video cards.

If you don't have, download Driver Max from CNET, Scan and update what you want.
Black screen death
non working ram leads to no boot at all or crashes. if ur laptop able to boot but unable to detect the built in monitor while at the same time detects external monitor just fine then the problem probably lies on the built in monitor itself or probably some lose cable between the mainboard and the monitor. i can assure u the GPU is working fine. if u can locate the RAM, it doesn't hurt to check them out tho. try reverting to stock ram by removing the newly installed ones and see.
