i think is your bios battery(it is found on your board i dont know the type of system that you are using but just check for the silver battery and change it

There are two ways for that
First: connecting through your vega hub


Second: through s-video hub

May I know the windows you are using?
If vista or xp you can put the windows setup disk and select repair option.
If the repair does not work try fresh install the windows or else the disk is going bad.

Instead, what has happened is that the "inverter" component has failed. It's about a $20 part to replace, but you would be wise to pay a qualified computer technician $60 for "one hour labour" to disassemble your laptop, replace the broken part, reassemble your laptop, and test it.

Confirm the status of your power adapter, to ascertain if it is still working or not.

But if the power adapter is till working, then I think your laptop is having a power fault.

You need to take it to a qualified technician to fix it for you.

It sounds like the fn key on the keyboard is stuct. The fn key is on lowest row of keys to the left of the spacebar. You may end up changing the keyboard.

Holding down shift key for more than 8 seconds will lock the keyboard and it will stop responding. But if you keep pressing keys for few seconds you would be able to type in but it will be very slow. Plus, it will produce a nasty sound.
To get around this, go to start and then settings, then control panel and then finally accessibility options. Make sure all the 3 boxes are unchecked.

well the same thing happened to me and if you are talking about setting them back to its factory settings all you do is:

• as soon as you turn your laptop on it will say the make e.g. Acer.
• then press Alt then F10
• it will then go black and it will take a while and this should work

go to 1 start button click go to 2 all programs go 3 accessorys 4 in accessorys go down to 5 system tolls in system tools shows a window of more options 6 go to system restore and click on it a window pops out says restore my computer to a ealyer time its checkd 7 click next in the bottom then a callender shows 8 click it on wish date you think your computer was working fine yopu go on the dark blue dates and click or you can even go on top of callender in the sides it shows other months like november or dicember get a date and 9 click next in the bottom your computer will restart if your working on something save work computer will turn restart if it say files saving wait untill it stops in the 10 progress bar the you click endnow the computer will restart wen it turn back dont any keys will it turns on the pc it goes in your desktop icons window shows a screen say restore susesful 11 down the screen click ok and your done if its the same that it was before you can try again this steps please leave a good ratete me thanks

I have seen batteries that have a short in them that cause this kind of problem. Try starting the machine with the battery removed. Obviously you will need to have the AC connected :)

If that does not work try removing the hard disk. Try and go into the bios screens and let it sit there for a while. If it does not shut off try getting hold of some kind of Boot CD. I have found some boot CD's with hardware testing utilites on them but you really just want to prove if it will boot at this point and not turn off.

If it's not the Battery and Not the HD then it could be a more serious problem with something on your Motherboard. Generaly much more expensive to fix.

That depends upon the operating system you are useing.
If you are useing VISTA, type recovery Manager and continue.
Fallow the prompts.

Does the laptop give you the option to create recovery cds or dvds? If so, do that FIRST. This will give you the ability to restore the notebook back to factory defaults (everything created afterwards will be destroyed). Next, back up any data you want to keep (pictures, music, documents, etc.). Portable hard drives are incredibly cheap (a certain department store carries 250 gb drives for $60). There are programs that can retrieve your serial codes for your programs (Belarc Advisor). Acquire a copy of your programs after you get your serials. If this seems too complicated, youll need to head to your local computer repair shop. MAKE IT CLEAR TO THE SHOP YOU HAVE DATA YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE!!! Many shops have disclaimers about copying data and are not responsible if anything goes wrong. Some places will charge a lot to rescue your data. Shop around.

Usually this is due to heavy activity in the background such as malware/spyware & viruses. If your pc is slow just all of a sudden, then you mostly likely have this problem. Make sure you have the most recent Antivirus programs and that they are up to date and run a full scan. Download and run a anti spyware/malware program such as Malware Bytes or Spybot Search and Destroy. If you are using the free versions you have to remember to update them often and run as they only run automatically if you purchase. It is well worth the money to spend a little on setting it and forgetting it. After you ahve cleaned everything up try and play something and see if you have the same issue.
I have only had one instant where it was actually the hardware and that was in 2000.

Well if you have used the bios password that appears some seconds when you power on you laptop in a black or blue screen...you will need to flash the bios but internally in the motherboard so if this is your case, I recommend you go to a professional or send it to the manufacturer because it is very difficult to do by your self...

Open ur system and u can see a CMOS Batterry inside. If you are not an expert just take out the batterry and keep the pc on and off. Put the cell after 1 day and switch on.
