Hi have you tried the fan on another socket usually more than 1 fan connector on a mobo, it may not say cpu fan but at least it will check the fan. If the fan is duff then a repalcement will be required. If you take the fan to a computer shop they should be able to test it for you and most likely for free.

Is it system password (OS) or BIOS? For BIOS, remove the CMOS battery for 30 seconds and it clears the password. For system, try to login to your PC in Safemode and then change the profile password.

try to answer your secret questions and reset your password by chosing "forgot password" option. If it is BIOS password you are referring to, go ahead and remove CMOS battery for 30 seconds and plug it in. Password gets cleared.
