How can I stop my cat from scratching my rugs as a scratching post?
Short answer. You can't. Cats are the Masters. But you could try to give it something more interesting like a fancy cat scratch tree house. Plus you could be bad and squirt it with water from a spray bottle and say NO! every time it does it. :-)

Can you give follow up story about picture you aired with man rescued sitting in a boat with his wet cats in a crate?
No, because Fixya doesn't post stories. News sites do. And even if you hunt for this story now, you will encounter other news stories of rescues of cats in even more challenging circumstances. There is simply not enough unique elements of this story to pull up what you are looking for among what you supplied. Man in boat with crate of cats is not a phrase that will locate what you seek. Sorry. But a cat lover's forum might turn up someone with a source to the story.

Causes of littering
Male cat meets female cat and exchanges phone numbers.
If you refer to a group of young cats or kittens, you can use the traditional term "Litter of cats" or a "Clowder of cats".

My cat got Frontline plus in his eye. What can I do at home to help? I can't afford to take him to the vet right now. Please help.
Eyes are serious and tricky.
You could VERY GENTLY bathe the eye with plain clean warm water. Wiping gently downwards gently making the eyelid close. Then all you can do is leave it up to the cat to apply its own saliva to the injured eye. They do have a form of antisceptic in their salivary glands.
Just keep a close watch and GENTLY wipe away any pus that forms or if the eye sticks shut, with warm water and a cotton ball.
I am sorry you can't take your cat to the Vet, times are hard right now.
I wish you all the best of luck and hugs to you and your cat.
:-)
