Find your webcam software and open it to use the webcam. Look on your desktop for any reference to webcam. Also look in your program list. Click Start/Programs and look in the program list for any reference to a webcam or camera. The webcam program might be inside one of the Samsung Folders in the program list. Some laptops might have a button that launches something like an Entertainment Experience. if so look for the camera as an icon when it launches. There might be a folder in the program list that says something like Entertainment Experience that you can open to get the webcam. You can always download Manycam and install it. Go towww.google.com and in the search box type: "download.cnet.com"(without the quotes). Click on the link to go to the site. When thesite opens look down on the left and you will see a gray area that says FindSoftware. Type "Manycam" (without the quotes) in the whitesearch area then hit the search mirror. When it brings back your resultslook for the one that says ManyCam Virtual Webcam. Down load it andinstall it. Make sure you remove the check box on any junky programs itwould like to install. You only want to install ManyCam, no additionswhatsoever during the install. ManyCam is totally FREE and easy to use,and you will always know where your webcam software is.
Take a look at the Windows Event Viewer and check whether there are any significant System events that coincide with your intermittant power off events that may help point to a problem device driver or failing component. For Windows XP see this link For Windows Vista and 7 see this linkDo you have the same problem when you are started in Safe Mode - if not, then that would again suggest that the problem is being caused by a device driver or other software which is only loaded when Windows starts normally. If you want to prove whether the problem is caused by software or hardware then you should try booting your laptop from either a USB stick or from a CD or DVD - obviously you would need to have a CD / DVD drive for the latter - i.e. an external USB drive if your laptop does not have such a drive built-in. To boot from USB you may have to change the boot options in the BIOS or use the F12 boot options to select the USB stick when first starting the computer.Hiren's Boot CD is a useful tool for testing the hardware and proving if problems are caused by the installed operating system. You would need to download the ISO CD image file and then burn this on to a regular CD-R disc.
Manufacturer's Website: Go to the manufacturer's website (visit the official Samsung website in this case). Click on the support section, search your monitor model by product name or model number, and download your monitor model for the user manual. User manuals usually list codes and other relevant information.
User Manuals Online: Many people post user manuals online for all types of electronic devices and peripherals. You can search for your monitor and look for the user manual at sites such as ManualsLib, ManualsOnline, or Retrevo. Most of these sites will catalog user manuals for a wide variety of devices posted online by users and are normally free to access.
Physical User Manual: If you still have the original box or packaging with your monitor, there might be a copy of the user's manual in that box or enclosed. It might be in an actual printed booklet or perhaps just some links to online resources. Check under a section entitled 'Remote Control Codes' or 'Setup Instructions'.
Contact Samsung Support: If no luck finding it to download or to help you, there is contact support available, they should know where that information is, and be able to send it to you or refer you.
With these, you should be able to find the user manual for your Samsung 32" curved screen display and enter those codes.
