Cannot ply dvd but can

Well, this is common laser faliure, after working for several years they just go mailfunctioning and you can't fix them. I highly advice you to keep that one for reading what it can read now, and to buy new device since they are really cheap nowdays, you can get them from ebay or amazon.com under 25 bucks.

My Sony CRX320EE-88 cant read
make sure that the cdrw/dvd rom is getting enough power test all leads that are attached to the cd/dvd rom including electical extensions and make sure they have a secure connection or just replace them there might be bad/faulty or the drivers may have been corrupted or you might have a virus run your antivrus program you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd burner then plug them back in this should activate the found new hardware wizard or you might have to uninstall then reinstall your DVD/CD or uninstall the driver then reinstall for this device Click start control panel administrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question mark ? right click you will have options to update driver,roll back driver,or select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer
Close all open programs
Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter
Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SYSTEM
CurrentControlSet
Control
Class
{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.
Upper Filters
Lower Filters
Upper Filters.bak
Lower Filters.bak
If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose DeleteAfter deleting the keys, close the registry editorReboot your computerOpen My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.hope this helps

Sony DVD ROM will not open, light comes on and
try to find a tiny hole on the drive( near LED or eject button) and insert a niddle or some kind of hard pin which can go inside of it push little bit hard (drive will open) , dont keep your drive empty if not in use put any useless DVD ROM in it so that it will get open when you want to use

My drive cannot detect dvd disc but can read and write cd
Check device manager in control panel under
hardware to see if you have a problem with anything (a big yellow
check). The most likely casue is that your DVD burning software (not the microsoft programs) did not install properly. Find out the exact info about yours by downloading a freeware program called Belarc Advisor (Googe it),
Oddly enough, you don't need drivers for the CD/DVD drives. They
aren't even recognized unless you have a non-microsoft burning
program. After you find out what burning
software you have-- you have to seek a download at the computer manufacturer's
website, if it came with the computer, as it may be a special program not related to the burning
software if you purchased from the software manufacturer---go to their
website for downloads or upgrades,and that should get you going.

MY CRX320EE DOESN'T BURN DVD'S
This is because the model you mentioned is just a combo drive. It is not a dvd burner. You can watch dvd's with it but not burn them. The way manufacturers word the advertising leads some people to believe that they have a dvd and cd burner. All you have is a cd burner / dvd player. What you want is a dvd-rw / cd-rw drive. Sorry! I hope this helps.

Sony MHC-vx888 turn volume up sound disconnect
the capacitors in side on the amp have gone weak. it has noticed the fault and is telling you. check the capacitors look for any sight of problems look for the end being popped up and brow-black gunk on the board around them tackie to the touch and change them. also give the boards a good clean out using a new paint brush sweep the dust out.

SONY CX330 camera shutting down
Why do they need to be turned on all the time? If your using them as security cameras they are not designed for that job. The 330 could be overheating because of the constant use. Some cameras have a built in 'Overheat' switch which could be switching it off.
These cameras are designed for short periods of use, recording things like parties and holiday trips. How old are these handycams? These do get old and the technology in them can wear out if in constant use.
