No longer displays any data, i.e. date, time, location on display screen. Does not change when there in an incoming call.

Try plugging it into a different jack. If there's no change, the phone is bad. If it works ok, the port in the phone system is bad. Switch it to a spare port, if available.

Our office has a two line system on a idcs 18d our first line will ring throughout the office but the second line is silent and only lights up. How do we make it to where it rings as well?

Assuming you have the programming manual, you need to program trunk 702 to ring to the operator group 500 in MMC 406 in the software programming manual.

My Samsung iDCS 18D phone will not ring. The Line light flashes, and I can asnwer calls, but it won't ring. I have tried adjusting volume levels, etc- but it seems like the ringer is turned off.

First prove it is not a faulty handset. Find someone elses phone that is the same model as yours and rings then plug it into your line. If that phone rings your handset is faulty. If the borrowed phone will not ring but flashes then it is programming

Why isn't the message indicator on when new voicemail messages are in box?

the easiest suggestion is to move the answering machine (which is the base antenna) to a mid location between units to aviod static and/or any unit near a TV, move it across the room of just a few more feet away.

MESSAGE LIGHT

You apparently have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Samsung IDCS 28D system: How do I unblock access to outside lines? No lights show on the dead lines. Handset works in other offices.

It is possible that the outside lines have been blocked in the programming of the Samsung IDCS 28D system. You can try the following steps to unblock the outside lines:
  1. On a phone that is working, press the TRANSFER button and dial 200.
  2. Enter your system password. If you don't know your system password, you may need to contact your phone system administrator or service provider.
  3. Press 713 for "Line Block Release".
  4. Press the button for the line that is blocked (in your case, all 4 lines).
  5. The display should show "RELEASE OK" for each line that is unblocked.
  6. Hang up the phone.
If this doesn't work, it is possible that the phone system may need further troubleshooting or programming by a technician.

Samsung iDCS 28D Calls not going to VM after canceling a forward on no answer

It's possible that when you cleared the forward on no answer, the voicemail setting on your Samsung iDCS 28D was not properly restored. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check your voicemail settings: Dial 604 and press the "Speaker" button. Enter your extension number and press the "Speaker" button again. The system should confirm that you have entered the correct extension number. If it does not accept your extension, try dialing from a different phone to make sure that your extension is still active.
  2. Verify your call routing: Dial 601 and press the "Speaker" button. This will show you the current call routing for your extension. Verify that "No Answer" is set to go to your voicemail box. If it is not, you can change it by pressing the "Speaker" button and entering the appropriate code for voicemail (usually "72").
  3. Restart the phone system: If the above steps do not work, try restarting the phone system. You can do this by unplugging the power cable from the phone system for a few seconds and then plugging it back in.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to contact your phone system administrator or IT support for further assistance.

I have a Samsung OfficeServ DS-5038S. An extension light keeps flashing red. When i dial the extension it gives the engaged tone but there is no one using the phone. What could it be?

If an extension light on your Samsung OfficeServ DS-5038S phone is flashing red and dialing the extension gives an engaged tone even though no one is using the phone, it's possible that the extension is stuck in a busy or engaged state. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Check the extension: Go to the extension in question and make sure the handset is on the hook and that there are no other phones or devices using the line.
  2. Restart the phone: Try restarting the phone by unplugging it from the power source for a few seconds, then plugging it back in.
  3. Check the programming: It's possible that there is an issue with the phone's programming. Check the phone's user manual or contact your phone system administrator to ensure that the extension is programmed correctly.
  4. Check the phone system: If the issue persists, it may be necessary to check the phone system itself for any issues that could be causing the extension to appear busy or engaged.
  5. Replace the phone: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there is a hardware issue with the phone itself. Consider replacing the phone or contacting a qualified technician for further assistance.
It's important to note that some phone systems are configured to automatically put extensions into a busy or engaged state after a certain period of time to prevent unauthorized access. If this is the case, contact your phone system administrator to adjust the settings accordingly.

In our office we have Samsung LCD 12B phones. We had a power outage 2 days ago and now only one phone will ring. We are also unable to make calls outbound but there is a dial tone.

Hi, for the phone that is malfunction, you'll need to setup as if it was brand new. The outage probably caused it to lose most of it's memory from the initial setup. To avoid having any difficulties, please reference the manual as you're going through these steps. Thank you.

How do you change the outbound caller ID on a Samsung IDCS 28D?

Not for outbound, only spammers and scammers do that. It is set by your telcom. Incoming mention in the manual https://www.manualslib.com/manual/949871/Samsung-Idcs-28d.html?page=31 ..
