Connection problem
You will have to have the wireless receiver connected to the laptop. If your laptop has a bluetooth receiver built in, you could get a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. They also make small bluetooth receivers that plug into a USB port.
I hope this helps,
Eric

Hi, I run Windows XP
Keyboards are easy replaceable parts, depending on the type of keyboard it is.. i know you probably like that keyboard, but perhaps you may need to take it back to the store and get your money back or replace that one as well. Since you say there was some conflict with software, I figure you probably had a driver issue with the keyboard, perhaps that keyboard is not compatible with your Windows XP SP3 // since a newer keyboard no doubt might be windows 7 compatible. Check to make sure again your KB is compatible with Windows XP SP3, Although, i know you probably have.. it wouldn't hurt to check again, you'll be surprise how something could be missed. :) Good luck, I hope this help.. If not.. perhaps others can weigh in as well :)

Logitech ex110 keyboard stopped working all of a sudden
First make sure the receiver is plugged into the computer. Second make sure you have fresh batteries in the keyboard and they are installed in the correct orientation. Then try the following:
1. Press the Connect button on the receiver. The receiver's LEDs will go into a sequential flashing to indicate that the receiver is ready to accept a connection.
2. Press the Connect button on the bottom of the keyboard. The receiver's LEDs will now stop flashing sequentially. Then all the LEDs go off briefly, then they will all flash once before returning to the state it was in before the connect button was pressed.
3. Your keyboard should now be connected to the receiver.
