Normal + rinse light flashing on dishwasher
it sounds like something has came loose. you have to take the control panel apart and you should find a grey flat plastic cabel about 2 1/2 to 3 inches wide.hook it back up and maybe use some electrical tape to keep it in place and that should fix it.
Why thermal fuse is blown
If you have no power to your machine and the power is on it is the thermal fuse. If the fuse is blown you will get no power at all. To my understanding after talking to many people the thermal fuse is likely the first thing to go bad on a whirlpool dishwasher. A power surge to your unit would cause the fuse to blow or the control board to go bad.
After the last time I ran the dishwasher there is
Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. It sounds like the thermal fuse failed.Open the door remove the screws around the top and flip the control panel open. There is a white fuse with two wires coming from it check it for continuity or jump the two wires together to see if it powers back up. If it does replace the fuse with part #8193762 install the whole kit just follow the directions that come with it.And remember tu turn the power off before checking and installing the fuse.

No power to dishwasher
Check to see if your dishwasher has power going to it. If you confirm the power supply is good you likely have a bad fuse. Go to the link if you want to download a video so that you can see how to access and replace the fuse.Appliance RepairAppliance Parts
Water does not leave after
Fault in the drain valve/drain pump as it is not draining the water in the cycle. You will need to check the voltage on the drain pump, if present the drain pump must work or is faulty or clogged. Must be removed and cleaned or changed.
If there is no voltage then the program controller is faulty, it must be seen if the fault is minor connection of the driver or a total change.
New Control Unit not working
i think this machine need a test run on it,i suspect a problem in the circuit and it might have blown the board again.adrian,,
Motor runs but water does not fill and no
There is a small solenoid on the bottom of the unit that operates a valve between the drain and the rest of the machine. That is probably not changing the valve back to pump inside the machine the motor running you hear is probably draining the machine again. When you run it let it fill then when the motor kicks on watch the drain hose under the sink if it jumps or you can feel water running through it the solenoid needs to be replaced. if you need further clarification I can upload photos tommorrow
The stop/cancel light keeps flashing.
Unfortunately I cannot view the comments from other fixya.com consultants so I am coming in cold on this one.
But it appears you are trying to isolate the problem of why the stop/ cancel light are flashing. I suppose the only solution offered in the user guide is to contact the whirlpool service.
Have you considered if the dishwasher is level and fully secured to the underside of the counter. The door switch needs to be fully engaged (both live and neutral switches) otherwise this model is known to cause faults.
Wiring diagram is shown above. Not sure how good it is.
YOu can download the service manual from http://www.AllRepairManuals.com/
for $4.95 which has all the details.
Wash and rinse cycle do"s not stop, repeats over and over
This is refering to a cycle that does not advance
if it does not advance from one cycle to a nother or if it does not stop doing one cycle
When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the
timer or a cold-water supply problem:
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with
water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the
washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to
replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing
machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't
fill with rinse water. .
Pots &pans normal sani cycle lighs
If it is a slow blink on the start button it's something to do with your door switch. If it's a rapid continous flashing it's prob a short in your key pad. If it flashes 7 times, pauses and then repeats you have a fault with your heating element.
If it's a short with your key pad and the unit has water in it - stopped mid cycle you can cut the power to the unit at the breaker, open the door controls up and disconnect the 14 pin key pad connection. There should be a wiring diagram in the toekick cover (at the floor). This diagram will tell you how to do various tests, disconnect the key pad. If your not a handy type person call a repair man and tell him you think youhav a short in your key pad.
Hooking up a drain line
Connect directly to your existing drain lines under the sink or to your disposal unit.
If you do not have a dishwasher drain adapter on your drain lines the local home center will help you. Install above your S trap. Cut just enough of the pipe out to allow for the new part to slip in (half and inch or so goes into the fitting). You will need glue and primer.
If you connect to your disposal there is a fitting on the side of the disposal to accept the drain line. You should have a fitting supplied with the disposal. If not the local part supplier can help you. Break out the tap on the disposal and connect the fitting and drain line.
Hope this helps. Please rate the answer if it helps you.
Clean light flashes off and on continually,
Hello- This pump system has a strainer and screen that can trap debris against the pump blades, stopping motor. Turn off power. Pull torx screws holding pump cover and strainer. Remove and clean out debris. Check to see if motor turns. If not, it is locked up and needs to be replaced. Let me know if this info helps- have more if needed. -Thanks- ED
Du1100xtpq7 dish washer keep repeating wash cycle
Thanks for using FixYa. If the
cycle doesn't complete, check these:
Many dishwashers heat the wash
and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these
cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the
water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next depends, as follows:
On some units, the pause is timed
and the unit continues after the allotted time.
On others, the cycle can't
continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type
of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with
the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle,
it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle
problem" is fixed too.
Timers don't often fail. But if
every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer
knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer
may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective,

Du1100xtpq7 has had the touch
i would guess that you are having a problem with the optical sensor inside the pump housing. it is suppose to sense when the water is clean or dirty and allow the unit to continue washing or advance to the next cycle.
i have seen these test good but be just out of calibration enough to cause long run times.
you can try to change it yourself or have the service company try that instead of a new board and panel.
