W2K3 O/S does see additional SAN drives

Although the system "sees" the drives, it also must have the new drives included in the RAID method you are using within the SAN system. Depending on the RAID type and controller used this can be accomplished in several ways but it should be done within your RAID manager. you are basically expanding the RAID. Then the SAN will be of the new dimensions.

CAUTION: backup first! Most RAID controllers can do this on the fly, but some will cause data loss during this operation!!!

How to install

To install Windows Server 2003, you just insert the Windows Server CD just like any other Microsoft Operating System. You might need to create a driver floppy for windows to find the hard drives first. To do this, check your product manual/disks. You should have it. If not, hp.com has it available for download.
Once you get it setup, we can help with Privledges.

I canĀ“t use a serial ata disk in a proliant 350

I know ATA disks are cheaper , but they don't last as long or are less reliable.

I do not recommend mixing SCSI and ATA .

Use one or the other , not both.

Do not try , unless your server is non critical.
If it is non critical , why bother with server , a PC will do as well.

Thanks

How do I image the SCSI drives?

Once you set the new drive into the array use Acronis to copy an image of disk with the system on one of the other disks (not the new one you are installing to), and then use restore image on imaging software to restore the image on the new disk.

Software Checking for Particular DL380 Processor

Hi,
If your proc speed is 2.8, then what is the problem? The min speed required is 2.4 GHz right?
Anyways you may try overclocing the processor, however at your own risk as this may cause damage to the server.

Trouble installing Windows Server 2003 on Netfinity 5500

Disabling Application Error Reporting on Windows Server 2003 (and XP, also)
Preface:
There is absolutely no good reason to disable this service in pre-release, or released software. If a program or computer crashes, then once the computer recovers it makes a detailed report (with no personally identifiable information it) about how the crash happened and sends it off to Microsoft. They then look over it, and try to fix it, which makes a better OS for everyone. This is not a recommended procedure.
Method:
Click the Start button, and right-click My Computer and click Properties from the pop-up menu
my-comp-properties.png In the System Properties dialog that has come up, click the Advanced tab, and then the Error Reporting button
system-properties-advanced.png In the next dialog click the Disable radio button, and optionally, so you don't get any notices of system failures at all, uncheck But notify me...
error-reporting.png Now press OK, Apply, and OK, and Error Reporting has now been disabled.

How do I fix window 10 to listen audio mp3 cd

NO PC told at all and posted to Proliant server forum that is no PC and as such the OS is not allowed there w10 nor does it have sound chips, at all, its a server running in huge dark, no humans server farm..... so let me guess you posted to wrong forum and never told PC model sure. so windows sounds work in the test in control panel yes ! the, MP3 is complex, it can be from high data rate, source and will not play unless converted . one thing to try is use this free app called Audacity https://www.audacityteam.org/ then play it or convert it or buy a USB sound dac that can decode any sound file on earth or learn to test you PC first windows sounds work then in google type simple MP3 sound test https://file-examples.com/index.php/sample-audio-files/sample-mp3-download/ works good above so your MP3 is no good or wrong bit rate. if fails yours only , buy new DAC USB dongle now it plays them all if windows sounds are dead the sound driver is missing or on a server there is no sound chips oops. buy the DAC dongle. if only 1 MP3 fails out of 100's find a better one or buy a DAC.

Blinking red light and beep sound coming from the front blade Slot 1.

That drive has failed, is it set up with a RAID configuration? Do you have the Dell monitoring software installed? Is it set up with Hot Plug drives? If so replacing the drive with a new one will start the RAID rebuild. Otherwise one way to turn off the bleep is to reboot and go into the RAID controller configuration
