You have a back light problem as you can see a dim Windows image. This fault can be a faulty inverter board or a faulty CCFL lamp.

Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series. Please leave rating if it helps.

Remove the stand and all the screws on the back, use flat blade screw driver for cracking open the case at te bottom edge of th case, be real careful on the front panel switch assembly wires.

nothing can be done your lcd is got damaged and if you have any plan to service it then the same amount can be used to buy a new one, this is my advice

Install your hardware and follow the following steps
1) Goto control panel
2) Display Option
3) In display option go to settings.
4) Then goto advance option
5) Then go to monotior option
6) You will see your monitor there and tweak according to your need.

your pictures are too large you need to find them and resize them then use them for wall paper or you resolution is not set correctly for the screen size
