Missing colour on print head alignment

Sounds like a clogged nozzle. Run a "Nozzle Check", and see. If you are missing some of the results, then run a cleaning cycle.

I need a CD/DVD tray

Unfortunately replacement parts aren't readily available for this printer, as it's now 5+ years old. Even if it was new, companies like Canon rarely produce parts for products in this price range. To them they're disposable, and it's cheaper and easier in the long run to provide a new machine for warranty support than to stock parts.

That being said, you may have some luck searching sites like EBay for a used i9950 that you can use for parts. Otherwise you may be stuck purchasing a new machine with CD Printing Capability.

Sorry for the bad news. Good luck in your search!

Printer does not switch on

I dont want to make out you are thick or anything, but going back to basics, have you held the on/off button in for a second or 2, and you are pressing the power buttin, not the resume button? I say that because i made an idiot of myself by pressing the wrong button when it said press the resume button to continue, and after a few attempts I must have looked like a donkey. The pirnter "should" power on automatically when you send something to the printer, so if it's not doing that either, check your USB connection, and make sure you have the drivers up to date, I know these probably sound like no brainers, but you never know, also, you could check the switch pack, it could be faulty, check the wires behind it, 2 plugs.

Suddenly no ink coming from five wells (BK, R, G,

I have the same problem but it's only with the black ink, I removed the print head unit and run it under the hot tap till th ewater ran clear, then i soaked it in hot water and again run fresh water through it till it ran clear then left it in a bath of alcohol, i just used whiskey, but wouldn't recommend drinking it after, or before for that matter, I felt there was nothing to lose if it was a faulty print head as they are about £95 new. I had already run several deep cleaning programs and replaced the inks, but literally no black ink at all was printing. I havn'e tried it yet as it's still soaking, but I have also stripped the cover off the priinter and am trying to clean otu the waste ink tanks and absorbant pads, it's far to expensive a printer to just chuck out so here's hoping

Ink pads need replaced

Don't know if you managed to get the cover off, but I just did, first you have to remove the 2 silver end plates, they are held on by 2 clips each, use a thin bladed screw driver and push it down into the holes marked with an arrow, one on the rear under the rear lid, that you stack the paper against, one on the front inside the front drop down cover that the paper comes out on. then release the four arrowed clips along the back and side of the printer and another 2 on the front, one on the cd lever side, and 2 on th eswitch side, one of these is hidden behind the switch panel which you have to remove and unplug, then the whole cover should just lift off
