To Fix my problem I called Insignia and All I Had to do was hold down the display button for 5 seconds? Thanks for the help but looks like I saved $20 Bux.

Had same problem with a 24" Insignia. Took it back to BestBuy who sent it in for repair. Repair ticket listed problem as a couple of "cold" solder joints. Apparently correct as set has worked fine ever since I get it back.

i have the same problem... i think it happend when i accidently plugged left audio to white component on my dvd... HELP!!!!

as you say that some channels sound is ok. it sounds me that it is a transmission problem or tv not tunned properly. reset it & tuned one more time hope it will be ok.

You can just buy a new remote. Test it using the smartphone front camera trick. Or it is the television that has no signal, do a Power Reset. Pull the mains plug for 5 minutes. Press and hold the power button on the set for 1 minute. Plug back in. Also check the input leads on the back for whatever is supplying the signal, Cable, Satellite, OTA, then check the Source button on the remote.

Cheaper to replace the TV than repair this problem.

Sounds like a bad panel board, meaning the panel is bad and that part isn't replaceable, you can try a tcon but I don't think it will fix it
