I need to change the system greeting (not individual) for my Lucent phone system model 7311H14E-003

What happens when you dial 777 on the intercom? If you get Partner mail, then it's a start. Now you just need to find out which one and the admin password. Normally it's 99 for admin access and the password is defaulted to 4321. I'd be searching the internet for a manual.Carl

Replace system battery,with power on?

The Partner ACS system uses 2 AAA batteries to retain programming from 45 to180 days, in the event of a power outage. When these batteries fail, a system warning (replace sys bat w/ power on) will display on the screen of extensions 10 and 11.With new batteries in hand, go to the phone system cabinet and find the system processor. The system processor will be marked on the top third of the card with a label marked "Partner ACS processor".
On the bottom of the processor module, below the extension jacks, there is a battery compartment. With the power on, Push in slightly on the battery compartment and slide the black locking latch up to cover the"+" icon. Remove the battery assembly by pulling the tab at the bottom of the compartment cover.Place the batteries into the metal battery clips fully. Make sure the polarity of the batteries is correct by looking inside the metal battery clips for the "+" and "-" icons cut into the metal of the battery clip. With the locking latch in the unlocked (up) position slide the battery assembly back into the processor card far enough that the edges of the assembly slip behind the plastic housing of the processor card.Slide the locking latch down to secure the battery compartment. The message on your screen will disappear if the batteries are inserted correctly.

Need to change the time

Avaya Partner System Time Program #103 Considerations: Enter the time in 24 hour notation. In this scheme, the hours of the day are 0000 (12 midnight) to 2459 (11:59). Since each time must have four digits, use leading zeros when necessary. The time appears on system phones as A.M. or P.M., not 24 hour notation.
Programming: To change system time: Press Feature, 00, System Program, System Program, #,103 at extension 10 or 11. Enter a new time in 24 hour notation. For example, to set time to 2:15 P.M., press 1415. This time will appear on the phone as 2:15 P. Select next procedure or exit programming mode by pressing Feature, 00 or lifting and hanging up the handset.

I have a 854 AT&T 4 LINE PHONE SYSTEM IT WORKED GREAT UNTIL I changed providers i switched fro Verizon to Comcast now when I pick up or answer a call the lights appear only on that phone the oth

If the Comcast people changed the equipment in the phone room they probably ran direct lines to each phone or put filters in the lines. The reason you're not seeing the lines light up is the phones are not wired correctly now. The cable box that all of your lines are coming from must have a 1 to multiple line adaptor for each line. The adaptor feeds all of the phones. Communication for the intercom and the line in use lights goes down the phone lines so ther has to be a direct connection between all of the phones. If there are filters in the lines they must be put between the cable box and the line splitter. You can get the line splitters at Radio Shack (Model 279-435 for 1 to 3 adaptor).

Ring options

Changing ringing on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
Next press the left hand intercom twice
The display should say system programming2.gif

Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Centralized Programming.

Enter in the extension number that you want to program.

Press the line that you want to ring.
A solid light on the line means immediate ringing
A slow flashing light means delayed ringing (meaning the phone will wait 3 rings before starting to ring.)
A fast flashing light means no ringing.

When finished with that station press the right hand intercom and enter in the next extension to program and set ringing accordingly.

Press feature "00" to logout
