I have a double elec. whirlpool self cleaning oven with accu bake system It will not turn on at all. everything is just off.

This is often due to a control board failure. The board may be NLA (no longer available). It can be rebuilt with a 2 yr warranty. See: http://www.fixyourboard.com/boards/4448876.html

E2 f6

E2 F6 means that your oven temperature sensor has failed as well your electronic control board.

The oven temp sensor, electronic control board and the touchpad must be replaced.
Before you decide what to do, check the thermal fuse at the control panel first. If blown, replace it and the temp sensor. If you are lucky the control board may still be good.

When I try to turn on my self clean oven I get a code E1 F5 and wont go on

What I know about this is that the board may be bad. Does the rest of the oven work ok? If you don't want to spend the money on it and it still works, you can clean it manually. Assuming it is not under warranty, you may just have to get a local tech to look at it. Normally, I can tell by the code what the problem is, but I honestly am not sure. Try one last thing and just turn off the oven at the breaker and back on after about 15 seconds and see if it resets itself. This sometimes has worked.

Bottom oven will not heat up no matter what I tell

The problem is with your element. Most of these can be bought at local hardware stores or appliance part stores.

The easiest way to tell if it is the element is to check the element itself you will need a few tools to do this one of which is a multi meter with continuity.

Testing Element:

  1. Shut off power to the unit this can be accomplished by flipping the breaker or unplugging the unit from the wall.
  2. Remove the rear panel of the Range (on freestanding ranges), on wall ovens you may be able to remove the screws that hold the burner in place at the back and pull the element and wires forward (Be careful not to let the wires go back in side the wall as you will have to pull the oven out to reconnect the element)
  3. Remove the wires that are attached to the terminals on the element
  4. Use your continuity tester and place one lead on each terminal if no continuity the element must be replaced. (If tests good need to test oven switch)
  5. To replace the element do all of the above and remove the oven racks, unscrew the bracket that holds the element in place at the back inside of the oven, pull the element out and replace with the new one

The ovens were just installed. We can't make them

The F2 means Oven temperature is too high 1. Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC).
2. For SELF CLEAN models: check door lock operation.
3. Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective.

Remember: Oven control (ERC) measures resistance of sensor circuit, not actual oven temperature.

E1 f2 showing on whirlpool oven... it use to say

ok, the paper worked for me for about two weeks, then the problem happened again. the next fix i tried was to unplug the keytail (the ribbon connector) from the slot on the control panel. there is a clip in each side of the black plastic receptacle (the place where the keytail plugs in on the electronics control board). pres them inward to separate the top portion of the receptacle, which I think helps to clamp the keytail into the bottom portion. the top and bottom fit tightly together, so you might need to use a small screwdriver at the joint to pry them apart, however, I did not fine it necessary to remove that clamp in order to remove or replace the keytail on mine.
once the keytail is free, clean it well with a mild cleanser (I used a slightly soapy dish sponge) and dry it with a clean paper towel. FYI, one side of the keytail has the exposed wires which make contact with pins in the receptacle on the control board. the exposed side is on the inside surface of the curled keytail ribbon, the outside surface is translucent plastic insulation (you can feel that the outside is smoother than the inside because the inside has the contact wires exposed).
next, use sharp scissors to carefully trim a small uniform strip (roughly 1/16 of an inch or less) off the end of the keytail. then plug it in again (remembering to use the top portion of the receptacle to secure it in if you had removed it). doing this provides a fresh spot on the exposed wires to make contact with the pins in the receptacle. my theory is that over time the wires wear out at the points where they make contact with the pins. trimming the edge allows you to insert the keytail deeper into the receptacle and therefore, the pins will contact the wires in the keytail at a new, unworn spot. it's been over a week now and so far, it seems to have fixed the problem on my stove. if I get the error message again in the future, my next step will be to try paper trick again (at least as a temporary solution), but I doubt it will be necessary any time soon.
by the way, I sent the touchpad part back to sears after I figured out I didn't need it and they refunded $15 less than I'd paid. $13 and change was for shipping, so the other dollar plus must have been a miscalculation or a restocking charge or something, but I didn't bother following up to find out. I also had to pay about $3 to ship it back to them via USPS because I didn't hear the UPS guy when he dropped it off on the doorstep, so I wasn't able to simply refuse the delivery.

Front display panel not on. Oven not working

First thing to do is check the breaker. Make sure both sides of the breaker is turned on. If the breaker checks out the pull the control panel out and with a volt meter check power to the control board. If you as I suspect are getting 120v to the control board then the control board is bad and will need to be replaced.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. Mike

E-3 error code on both ovens

this may be a repeat, previous attempt to respond didn't seem to work....

F2-E3 means stuck key, which probably needs a new keypad ... you can try to unstick by pressing each button a few times, may give temporary solution

F3-E3 means oven overheated in self-clean, could be bad temperature sensor or welded relay on the control board

Best Regards,
bruce
