Hit "bake" or "broil" button and temp setpoint
Hi
This Error indicates
a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is
bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it
should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door
appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should
be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Failure code f3?
The f-3 is a bad sensor. The sensor is a probe that mounts in the rear upper portion of your oven. At room temp the sensor should read around 1100 ohms. It must not be grounded to frame on either wire. To replace the sensor remove the screw holding it to the oven and carefully pull the wire through till you get ti the quick connection. Take care not to loose the connection or you might have to remove the oven from it's cabinet which might prove costly or aggrevating to say the least.

Whirlpool Range model RF386PXGQ2 broiler won't shut off
Hi.If the element does not turn off, possible faults are:Shorted temperature probe.Test temperature probe reading impedance. If impedance is zero or lower than 0.500 Ohms, the the probe is shorted. A good probe reads about 1KOhms.Contact at element. A contact in element wiring harness may cause the element to stay on. Do continuity test between ground and element and on wiring harness.Defective control module. If problem is none of the above, then it is the oven electronic control(ERC). The ERC can be tested reading voltages. Testing must be done by a trained technician.

Where is the thermal fuse
hello,
Instruction below.
Unplug
your oven. Insert the size 15 Security Torx bit into your
multi-bit screwdriver and remove the screws from the back panel. Take
off the back panel.
2
Locate
the fuse. It should be near where the electrical cord comes into the oven. The fuse is a small white bar with metal caps on either end.
Carefully remove the fuse. Avoid touching the transformer or other
parts inside the oven.
3
Purchase
a new fuse. Most whirlpool ovens use an 18 amp ceramic fuse.
Consult your owner's manual to find out what kind of fuse is used, or
take the old fuse into the store to find the exact match.
4
Replace
the fuse. Put the cover back on and see if your oven works. If it
does, replace the screws. If it does not, try a different fuse. If the
oven still does not turn on, you may have to have it replaced of
professionally repaired.
thanks,

Hello,
I would suspect that the blower is noisy its what i would expect to potentially make noise ...if fits in the back of the control panel and it comes on to cool the control board each time the oven is on.
In case it turns out to be the blower thats noisy the part number for it is W10176670

Whirlpool electric oven won't heat just barely
Hello & Welcome to FixYa
This indicates a open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then test the door switch. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Fitted new oven element still not working
Most likely the temperature sensor is bad. This is a small pencil shaped rod in the top of the oven.
Well,
to ensure the temp sensor isn't bad, you can take an ohm meter to the contacts
of it and measure the resistance. It should be around 20 ohms. If it is
much greater or infinite, then its bad. To get to the contacts
you will need to unplug the oven, pull it away from the wall and remove
the rear panel. Then disconnect the wiring
and touch the probes
from the meter to the contacts on the sensor. You can order a new
sensor locally or from repairclinic.com. Let me know what you find.

After cleaning this oven, all controls work, but
most ovens element are pretty easy to remove. Now if you didn't and just pushed them up you may have just disconnected the power. Make SURE!! you 220volts are off before you attempt to work on any power. If control is off you should be ok to work on elements.

Getting error code E2 F3 and door locks.
The F3 E2 error code indicates that the electronic oven control board in the range senses an over-temperature condition in the oven.
This can be caused by a failed temperature sensor probe, a wiring problem between the sensor and the control board, or a failed electronic oven control board.
If the oven is apparently not overheating when this error code appears, then your likely failure is the temperature sensor probe.
If the oven is overheating, then you likely have a failed electronic oven control board due to a stuck relay not cycling the oven heating element off properly.
For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...
FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.
PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.
If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.
Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.
If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Self cleaning code error
The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.
The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...
Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.
If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.
Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.
