The cold control needs replacing. Thats the knob with the numbers that turn the Ref OFF and ON.
What I do is call my local Appliance Parts Store with my model no. They are extremely helpful .
Get freezer and ref thermometer. Ref is probably too cold.
Freezer should be 0 to 10 degrees. Ref 33 to 35

WATER SPLASHING IN FREEZER AT ICEMAKER
THE FILL TUBE IN BACK OF REFRIGERATOR CAN SLIP
AGAINST THE FILL RESERVOIR CAUSING A PARTIAL BLOCKAGE
OR BECOME CLOGGED WITH ICE.
REMOVE THE ICEMAKER AND INSPECT THE FILL TUBE.
RUN WATER IN TUBE TO ELININATE BLOCKAGE AND CHECK
TEMP IN FREEZER. IF TEMP IS BELOW 0 DEGREES, THATS
OVERKILL AND USUALLY A WASTE OF ELECTRICITY TO KEEP IT THAT COLD, NOT TO MENTION THE FILL TUBE FREEZING UP

The fridge/freezer is not getting

This problem is usually caused by dust build up on the condenser (a car radiator looking device but smaller). The condenser is usually located at the bottom of the refrigerator and accessed though a panel at the back of the refrigerator. There is a fan that pulls or blows air through it, this air should be warm (this is the heat pulled out of the refrigerator through the condenser). If the condenser fins are clogged with dust this heat exchange is hindered thus the refrigerator will not get as cold. All one has to do is unplug the refrigerator access the condenser (behind a slotted panel near the cooling fan) and blow the dust out of it (between the fins in particular), either with a small compressor or a can of pressurized air (like the type used on computers), plug the refridge back in and it should be cold again. Remove any dust hanging around, as this has a tendency to get into the condenser fins again. Hope this helps.
