I have the sameproblem, I suspect something is blocked but I don't know how to remove the spout????????? Please helP!!!!!

It seems your motor has be shorted out.Since you had smell it some type of short circuit in the board or the wire would have been taken place.You have to open the Essenza to find the exact part that has been burn.Dont worry mainly wiring short circuit only would have taken place since you have not used for many days.

If it is less than a year old, especially if you buy pods regularly, call Nespresso and explain the situation. They will probably send you a new one and you can return the old one in the new one's packing box. It's best to start with their 'Help' line and see what they say.
