Ge true temp start button not working, how to fix

There is a short in the wiring. Now you can repair this yourself or get a proffessional. I removed my back paneling an rewired mine by cutting each wire and twisting the same wire back to it.then I used some electrical tape to cover the open wires. Warning, you must have the dryer unplugged and you must connect the same wires together. If not you can cause an electrical fire.

Need to change venting from back to right side

there are knock out panels on both sides of the dryer. knock out the one you want to use with a hammer and flat head screw driver or chisel/ you will then have to remove the back and disconnect the vent going out of the back of the machine and reinstall a new hose or pipe on the outlet where you removed the vent and run it through your new hole to the outside vent.

I need to use my GE Dryer now today, but dryer door switch doesn't work.

To do that today, you would need to do the following for older dryers. Turn off the power by pulling the plug From the back remove the console. Remove the top Undo the two screws at the kick strip Carefully remove the front remembering there are wires. Short the wires together and tape them up. Put it all back together. For modern dryers. Some are surface mount and just pull out. Order the part, DON'T leave it like that! ..
