depending on your water that might be a possibility. if you have really hard water that can take a toll on your filters very quickly. if you have soft water they shouldn't go that much. now if you let it run 24/7 with the hard water that is very high that the filters would go out. if you don't have hard water please let me know and i'll see what else i can do.

you should be able to take the tank off first and then then rest of the unit should pop off of the base after that. if you have any other problems please let me know i'll see what else i can do.

you can check any hardware store or if you live in canada you can check with canadian tire.

I have the same model; it has a little disk about the size of a dime at the bottom of the well where the mist comes out. That metal disk gathers white scale on it, Clean that off. The best way I have found is with a Waterpik turned all the way up. The scale keeps the disk from vibrating.

I think you may have the model number wrong. You have given the model of the filter that replaces the BWF100 and HWF100 filter for some models of Bionaire humidifiers. Bionaire has the manuals for some of their cool mist humidifiers here: http://www.bionaire.com/service-and-support/product-support/instruction-manuals/humidifiers/cool-mist/humidifiers-cool-mist-manual.html . All of these models start with BCM. Since you mention that you have a tower model, I think you need the manual for the BCM658 from http://www.bionaire.com/service-and-support/product-support/instruction-manuals/humidifiers/humidifiers-manual.html . Some have a stone, foam or screen filter before the sensor, check clean if possible if not buy a new one mine gets slimy and wont let water through. Soak in white vinegar and worm water than rinse real good before installing.
