if you just got it check for packing material stuck around the fan area if there is nothing , then take it back for a warranty exchange as it is not as described ---quiet

I doubt if there is any warranty on this now. It has been over three years ago.

This posted question is exactly one year old, but I just got this solenoid valve assy from ontimemall in Phoenix AZ. I don't have the receipt right here, but it was about $90. It is classified as: honeywell 32001639-002 solenoid valve.

Normal operation should require both the fan to be running and for the furnace to be heating before the humidifier will run. Check out the manual here: https://customer.honeywell.com/resources/techlit/TechLitDocuments/69-0000s/69-2413EF.pdf

I have the same problem and I have 2 of them fairly new. I can't seem to find out what the problem is either.
