F5 - E1 Self clean latch will not lock

1. If door latched:
  1. Disconnect power from unit.
  2. Check wires and connectors from control to door switch, then from door switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
  3. Replace door switch.
  4. Re-apply power.
  5. Press and hold any key down for 1 minute to clear F5 failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
2. If door not latched:
  1. Disconnect power from unit.
  2. Check wires and connectors from control to latch switch, then from latch switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
  3. Repeat steps A and B for door switch.
3. Measure door switch (door open = switch open small low voltage terminals). Replace switch if defective.
4. Measure latch switch (unlatch = switch open, CAUTION - oven light contacts are closed). Replace switch if defective.
5. If corrections are made in any step, reconnect power to control. Press and hold any key for 1 minute to clear R failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.

I set the oven to

If the top burners work the the DSI control is fine. Check your oven distribution valve. It should read 216 ohms between any of the 3 terminals. If it is open between any 2 then you have a bad distribution valve.

After setting my oven to

This is likely the oven temperature sensor needs replacing (step 3) But if that checks good follow steps 1 and 2 .The videos will walk you thru performing the checks.

1. Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC).
2. For SELF CLEAN models: check door lock operation.
3. Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective.

The range displays f5 e1 when i try to run

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

My gas oven, Super Capacity

Hello there
Please read the entire solution i have provided below ok
It won't bake or broil If neither the oven nor the broiler heats, but the range burners still work, the clock may be set for a timed or self-cleaning cycle. Check to be sure the clock buttons and knobs are set properly. If your clock has a knob that says "push for man(ual)," push the knob in and try heating the oven and broiler again. If they still don't work properly, you probably have a defect in the thermostat, selector switch, or common wiring. Note... If the oven doesn't have a separate bake/broil/etc. selector switch, the problem is often with the thermostat. It's not easy to check the selector switch or thermostat for proper operation. If you suspect a problem with either of these, call a qualified appliance repair technician.

Before you call a repairman, you first need to decide if the problem is isolated to just the gas stove. Have you tested all your other gas appliances (wtr htr, furnace, etc) to make sure they are operating? If not, call your gas co. If they are working fine, then check your breaker box and check to see if the stove breaker is tripped. If it's fine, then try plugging it into another electrical outlet using an extension cord and see if you get power. If not, then call an appliance repairman for the stove. Douglas

Oven won't ignite

Your range is a Direct spark model.ce00970.jpg8278a1e.pngIf you want a Direct spark manual, let me know. The module gets confirmation from relay on the oven control and sends dc power to the gas valve. I suspect that gas valve be cause the top burners work which is usually and indicator that the module is fine. The terminals ohms should be 216 ohms between each of the 3. If any are open the valve won't work. If you need further help, reach me via phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/dan_73bbd84fe1d95b61

Hi,
The reason for the burner not lighting is because the small holes facing the spark are plugged with dirt. Take a small toothpick or pin and clean the holes so the gas can get to the spark.

My oven ignites and starts heating then goes out

probably a bad ignitor. they can glow and still be bad if they don't pull enough current to open the valve.

Gas range does not heat

If it is just the oven not heating, this is generally cause by a bad ignitor. These newer ranges do not use a pilot light. Instead they use an ignitor, and this is the problem 95% of the time. To be for sure I would need some more intel which would require taking a few things apart.

But If the range is in good condition and fairly new, I would repair it as long as the repair man isn't to expensive :) Ignitors usually cost around $50 - $90 dollars. It depends on if the repair man uses an ignitor just like the one that is in the range, or an aftermarket which works just fine but is cheaper in price. good luck to you!

Oven does not ignight. gas does not flow.

The first thing I would do is turn gas valve off and remove lower panel in floor of oven. With the gas turn off and panel turn oven on high and see if the igniter begins to glow. If not carfully remove and examine for cracks. Use care in removal and replacement of igniters because they appear to be strong yet made of carbon like material and very easily broken.*(not all the same) The part number for yours is Click Here=> 8054129 Ignighter Assembly Use caution and never try this test with gas turned on or with lower oven panel removed while gas is on.
Please rate my solution after I have helped you resolve the problem and communicate with me. I am offering my help to you free.
