My ice maker is not

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.
Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
The icemaker is 110v
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking or no water at icemaker or door either one, then the valve at the rear bottom of ref needs replacing
First I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if freezer control is turned WARMER, which makes the Ref. colder
Also if it is getting drinking water to the door but not to the icemaker (or vice versa) Then you need to replace
the water valve at the bottom rear of the fridge. It is a double valve and one side is not working
Also this might be a common Defrost problem, Ice
is not being melted by the defrost system. The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater, heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath

What er ff mean at

Hi.

Error ff (er ff) means defective fan detected. Before calling support or before replacing the fan try performing a complete defrost by leaving power disconnected for one day (remove food from inside the unit first). That will fix the problem if the fan was temporarily malfunctioning because of ice formation. If that does not work the fan must be tested before replacement.

If you need parts see this tip explaining how to find parts and diagrams for most appliances: Where do I find parts and diagrams for my appliance?

Hi, I have a Kenmore

If it overfills and drips, look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water.
If it continuously drips, replace the water inlet valve on the back where the house water supply comes in.

Ice maker water not stopping
The water inlet valve may be staying open. You can swap the wires on the dual water inlet valve and disconnect the water line at the valve which goes to the ice maker. When you try the water dispenser the water will come out there. When you stop the water dispenser, if the water at the valve doesn't stop, the valve isn't closing so you'll need to replace it. If it does stop after trying it several times then the problem is with the ice maker.

Hey i have a kenmore

The compressor relay's purpose is to start the compressor. A faulty relay can result in the compressor failing to cycle on. The relay is accessed from the lower rear of the refrigerator.
Before testing a compressor relay, unplug the refrigerator to avoid an electrical shock hazard. Also, if the compressor uses a capacitor, it must be discharged first to avoid the risk of electrical shock.
The compressor relay can be accessed by removing the terminal cover box. The cover is held on by tension or with a retaining clip.
Beneath the terminal cover is found the compressor relay (labeled "A" below), overload protector (labeled "B") and the electrical terminals of the compressor motor.
Remove the compressor relay by pulling it straight off from the compressor.
Pull the wire off of the side terminal of the relay. It is connected with a slip on connector. Firmly pull the connector, do not pull on the wire. You may need to use a pair of needle-nose pliers.
Inspect the connector and terminal for corrosion. If either is corroded they should be cleaned or replaced. There are two types of relays you may encounter, wire coil and solid state. If the relay has an exposed wound wire coil it can be tested for continuity. Otherwise, the relay is of solid state design and requires specialized equipment for testing.

bobicehouse_62.jpg

Test the compressor relay for continuity using a multimeter. Set the multimeter to the ohms setting X1.
With the relay upside down, place the probes into the terminals labeled "S" and "M". The multimeter should display a reading of zero ohms, indicating continuity (or if using a continuity tester, it should light up).
Turn the relay upside down again, place the probe on the "S" terminal and place it on the side terminal labeled "L".
The multimeter should now display a reading of zero ohms (continuity). Turn the relay over and the reading should change to infinity.
With the relay upside down place one probe on the "L" terminal and the other probe on terminal labeled "M".
The multimeter should display a reading of zero ohms. Turn the relay over and the reading will stay the same, zero ohms.
If the compressor relay does not pass all of these tests, it should be replaced.

I am getting an error message E FF on the fridge.

Error E FF indicates problem with evaporator freezer fan problem.--------- This freezer fan is controlled by rear control board. So first see if the fan in freezer is running. If the fan is running, then its read control board problem. But if fan is not running or its turning on / off in few minutes again n again then its fan motor problem, it has to be replaced.----------------- -------------- In this problem, the freezer section gets over freezer or over cooled but fridge section will not function well.Because freezer section will not defrost and fridge section will not get properly cool.--------- --------------- With those the rear board is usually the cause,it doesnt put the fridge into defrost long enough and causes the ice to build up in the freezer and stop the freezer fan from turning, thats what the err ff is "freezer fan" fault..changing the rear board and letting fridge defrost 24 hours would rectify the problem.-----------
--------------
For temporarily working, you can try this :--- You can leave fridge off or you can remove everything in the freezer to get the rear panel off and free the fan of the ice that is blocking it? then reassemble and replace the rear board before it ices up again.
-----------
Can you hear the fan running in the freezer? the fridge will not get cold if the fan is not running, thats the way the fridge receives air.--------
------
The fan should run steady to maintain temp if it cycles on and off, either the fan motor is faulty or the rear board,.To confirm this check for power to the fan to determine if its getting power when its not running,if it is and still cycling off then the fan is bad, otherwise the board is bad.---------

You can get the required parts from online sites like:---

www.repairclinic.com or from searspartsdirect online site.---------This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

I dont have diagram, but there is a line on the vacuum pump that comes off and loops back around to the pump. I don't know why but it's supposed to be there.

Another line comes off and goes to the vacuum canister. From the canister there is a T and two lines. One goes forward to the HVAC controls. The other goes to the PVH (Pulse Vacuum Hublock) solenoid on the firewall forward of the pump. From the solenoid another line goes down to the axle where it hits a T and one line goes to each hub.

Test it and keep us updated.

The ice maker automotic shut

I would suggest you take the entire ice maker out of the freezer and let it defrost over night and then try the arm again. It will also make it easier to do a complete visual inspection of the ice maker.

There are two screws at the top left and then the water line connection to get it out.

Most likely there is a little ice freezing the arm up.

Kenmore Elite Bottom freezer is

Hello, ok lets start with the ice and frost all over the freezer compartment. This is mainly due to your unit haveing a defrost issue. If you were to remove the rear panel on the inside rear of the freezer by unscrewing the screws that hold in the panel you would then gain access to the evaporator coil. There are three key parts that make the defrost function work properly the defrost thermostat, the defrost heater, and the defrost timer or on some units instead of a defrost timer they have a control board located behind a panel in the rear of the machine. The defrost thermostat is usually the first place you would start diagnosing your defrost issue. Also when you remove the rear panel and gain access to the evaporator coil if you found any ice build up on the evaporator you would then defrost any ice with a hair dryer and also assure that the drain hole below the evaporator is clear of ice as well as any obstruction as well. The defrost thermostat is a small round disc like part that has two wires going to usually found on one of the compressor copper lines, the defrost heater is the element looking metal piece that is usually found below the evaporator coil itself. Both of these pieces can be tested for continuity using a multimeter to assure if they are functioning properly. Most of the time it is thhe defrost thermostat that fails that does cause this issue. So first test these two key parts and message me back with your finds. If both of these parts test as working properly I will then further instruct on how to test the remaining parts. Thanks again I look forward to your reply

The fan you are talking only come on when the compressor is on. If the compressor is on and the fan is not. Feel the compressor to make sure it is not really hot. BE CAREFUL is can be extremely hot. If is you may have a big problem. The compressor could have whats called warped the internal composent do to heat. It is suppose to be warm to a little hot. If the compressor is not that hot and comp is on than replace fan.
As far as the ice maker drippind. The silinoid in the inlet valve may not be closing all the way. Replace inlet.
