Bought new battery, charged it and it wont register or connect says to place on base to registar.

The handset must be placed into the BASE cradle. (the BASE has the telephone wire from the wall plugged into it as well as the power supply wire) The remote charging dock has only the power supply wire plugged in and it cannot do the registration. Good luck! --------------

Ringer does not ring on one phone

Well it depends on the model, Most of them you can adjust the ringer volume by pressing the volume up key while the handset is onhook (not in use)

Silent mode

Unplug then replug power cord in and it should revert off silent mode. Your owners book is on web, just down load.
