Caller i.d. doesn't work

If you subscribe to caller ID service from your local telephone company, this feature displays the
name and telephone number of the caller before answering a call (even when you are on another
call). The caller ID features of this product will work only if you subscribe to caller ID service and
both you and the caller are in areas offering caller ID service, and if both telephone companies use

• you have both caller ID and call waiting, but as separate services (you may need combined service),
• you have only caller ID service, or only call waiting service,
• you do not subscribe to caller ID or call waiting services but wish to try them.
There may be fees for these services, and they may not be available in all areas.

service, although the caller ID features of this product will not function.

One phone is not working.
The issue here in "most caases not all is the battery is at its prime" i would first buy a new battery let it charge for 20 hours!! then try reregistering the headset. if that does not work or reregister then you know now you got a bad transmitter radio inside. Try all reset methods as well even before you spend $12 bucks on a battery pack. Chances are its the battery, worse comes to worse the headset needs to be replaced.

As this is an issue with all the handsets, it seems very unlikely that all the sets are at fault. Make sure they are not close to TV, Refrigerator, Oven or any electronic item that emits frequency waves.
The first step would be to call service provider and get the lines checked.Sometimes, it could be the filter used for the phones.This has to be taken care by the service provider.
You could do a small reset from your side :-
If the unit does not seem to be responding normally, then try putting the handset in its telephone base. If it does not seem to respond, do the following (in the order listed):
1. Disconnect the power to the telephone base.
2. Disconnect the handset battery, and spare battery, if applicable.
3. Wait a few minutes.
4. Connect power to the telephone base.
5. Re-install the battery(ies).
6. Wait for the handset to re-establish its link with the telephone base.

New vtech phone model cs6229-3 headset keeps saying line in use
These phones look at the voltage on the line to determine if the line is in use.
Do you have any devices on the line that get power from the phone line? If so, they may be loading down the phone line causing this issue. If you have these types of devices on your line, try disconnecting those devices and see if the problem goes away.
Otherwise, your phone line may be defective. You may need to contact your phone company to get the problem resolved.

I want a male generic voice to answer my voicemail
I think once you change it you record over the one that comes with the phone. If I lived where you live I'd come make a generic recording for you but maybe you can find a neighbor or friend? Those old messages are so boring. You need some class. Check these out.
1. A is for academics, B is for beer. One of those is the reason we're not here, so leave a message.
2. Hi! I am probablyi home. I'm avoiding someone I don't like. Leave me a message and if I don't call back, it's you.

Well finished searching the manual and their site. According to their manual this phone system doesn't have an answering machine but is capable of accessing voice mail if your phone service carrier provides it.

I have a new ds 3111 model, why do I need to dial
You need not dial your area code within your code.
You can change the number of digits dialed, in this case seven digits, from the call log.
Press menu/select; Press up/dn to select call log; Then press menu/select; When in call log press up/dn to scroll through the records. All incoming calls are displayed on the screen. Although the call log entries you receive have ten digits, you only need to dial seven digits (within your zone). This is where you change the number of digits you dial within your zone. While reviewing the call log, press # repeatedly to display these dialing options.
