Hi, I answer the phone using the blue/green key which is the answer/release button. Also the 2 call keys allow you to toggle between callers without putting down the handset. I have sent you a training video about conference calls on the DCS, I have loaded 68 up to youtube under the heading of 'abbeytel'. There is 1 about hands free calls, hope this helps.
the System directory on the Samsung DCS is in customer programming in MMC 705, the easiest way to show you is if you watch the video I have uploaded for you, a text version of which is at
http://www.abbeytelecom.com . ( tip- find the speed dial number of the person you are wishing to remove first, this is the number next to their name)
Hi, the prompts on the Samsung DCS Voice Mail ask you to press 2 when you have recorded your message, this actually deletes the message, you have to press the # key to save. Hi, this siounds like the MUTE button has been pressed, to clear this, when you make a call internal or external, you will see that the display screen has MUTE written above one of the keys under the LCD just press this and it should put the problem right, if not it could be that the handset is faulty. I have posted 1 of over 60 training videos which are available to view on youtube- search 'abbeytel'- these will help with issues on the Samsung DCS or go to
Hopefully you have sorted this issue by now but if not it sounds like you need to programme a VMMSG button on a softkey on her phone. I have posted you instructions on how to do this, 'abbeytel' have over 60 training videos on YouTube relating to the IDCS phone system. - Alison
Hi, to programme a softkey on the samsungDCS you must first enter customer level programming;
with the handet down press TRANSFER 200, 1234 , 1 to enable, then the blue speaker key,
now type in 722 followed by the extension number of the phone that you want to program, this will be in brackets, next type the number of the button to be programmed.
Next using no.3 on your keypad (to get to D) then +/- again until you see DS follow this with the ext. ie DS210.
Transfer brings you out.
I have posted a video to show you how its done too, you might want to look at the other 60+ videos from abbeytel.
To assign a speed dial block you have to be in customer programming and go to MMC 606, once in type in either system-wide or individual extension number, please be aware that extensions can only have 5 blocks of 10 (50) speed dials, whereas the system can have 200+ depending on the size of the phone system. just to confirm 1=10. I have posted you a video explaining how to program the speed dial which is available to view on YouTube along with many others relating to the Samsung phone system. Alternatively you could visit www.abbeytelecom.com.
This clip shows how to add a phone to the group, so just reverse the process to remove a phone from the ring group on Samsung iDCS. This also works on other models from Samsung. There are loads more clips at www.AbbeyTelecom.com which you may want to "bookmark".
try bypassing all of that and using your trunk lines directly, so instead of dialing 9, dial 701, 702, etc (based on the lines you have), this is only a temporary solution and the phone needs to be reprogrammed
