Panasonic KX-TGA101 not working

By jim_giardine on Jan 03, 2010
My parents have had their Panasonic KX-TGA101 for a little over a year and it just stopped working. It no longer rings when a call comes in. Plus when we try to answer a call or place a call all we get is a busy signal both auditory and in the display window.
SOLUTION: you might want to change a new phone line, that's maybe the culprit, most of the time is the phone line is worn out first due to too many reasons.

A key symbol on the left hand side of the phone is

The key symbol is supposed to be an antenna.

It can't receive a signal.

There are a few possibilities:

- Too far from base. Move closer.
- Base is unplugged (no power at base station)
- Phone has become unregistered (unlikely).

If you need to re-register the phone, the process will vary depending in the model of the base station and will be covered in the manual.

It says "base no power"

Battery is dead, you need to replace it. Radio shack has them. Remember to charge first time for 24 hours on new battery.

The number 27 is on the display all the time

This is the number of missed calls you have.
To clear missed calls you need to press down arrow (centre 4 way keypad) 27 times with a short pause to clear the missed call history.

All my hand sets say,

You need to pair your expansion handset with the base unit for it to work.
If you look in manual it will tell you the sequence of buttons to press.

On one phone I can

this shows that the mouth piece of your phone is bad, and needs to be replaced with another one.
to confirm this, ensure that the network is OK, then try calling other numbers from your phone, if problem continues, contact the nearest customer care office for a mouthpiece replacement

hope this helps

My phone is a panasonic

Try unplugging all units from the AC outlets as well as the phone connection. Leave disconnected for a few minutes. Re-connect all units and try calling out or have someone call in. this should correct the problem.

New voice mail

This is a cordless extention phone "its base station" must have a answering machine correct?

Well you need to check you messeages on that and clear them out on that and this phone would be cleared as well, if you do not have a base station with a answering machine or voicemail system then your phone company must have one and there sednign these messages down the line to indicate someone left a voice mail on the syste,

Ether or here you did not tell me about the rest of the system so I am cought assuming that is what it is because it is what it is somewhere down the line you have a voice mail ether on a home based system or your telephone company.

Thanks please do not forget to rate. Thanks Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/edwy_1a56970cf1ea4620

Uniden DECT 6.0 2080-2 rings for no reason

These DECT 6.0 phones work on 1.9 Ghz frequency and should not have any interference other than from another DECT 6.0 phone that can be within 150 ft of your phone. That means that somebody, a neighbor that has a DECT 6.0 phone close by is causing this problem. It also means that they are also getting these phantom phone rings. The best solution? Go to a 5.8 Ghz phone and your problem should go away.
