Restriction code for nokia 7373 plz
HI
A restriction code is numeric code (password) that prevents a user from accessing certain technical settings of a phone. It is specifically designed to prevent a phone from being reprogrammed to work with a different carrier (service provider).
This is what is usually meant when a phone is referred to as "locked". There are also "unlocked" phones that can be reprogrammed to work with a different carrier.
The reason for this system is the way phones are often sold. Many phones are sold below cost, (at a loss to the carrier,) with the expectation that the money will be recouped in the cost of the monthly service plan. The up-front loss that is later recouped is called a Subsidy.
For this to work financially for the carrier, the user must not buy the phone and then use it with a different carrier. The MSL makes that nearly impossible.
Unlocked phones are ususally much more expensive than locked phones, because there is no subsidy to offset the cost.
You should ask the operator for the restriction code

I purchased a phone but its blocked, the phone not
If it is blocked it means that it has been barrred by the networks due to being reported lost/stolen and therefore it can not be unblocked,so can not be used to make or receive calls allow some of the other functions may still work on it,camera etc
If it 'locked' rather than 'blocked' that is entirely a different matter and it can be unlocked

Your firmware seems to be corrupted for whatever reason.
Get it re-installed from Nokia Care only as they do it safely.

When turn on, it stays with white screen
unfortunately your phone is broken. its a compression fracture in the screen itself, if you look from an angle you will likely see it. sorry, but if you have the insurance this is covered.
Cannot Recieve message from Ukraine
your msg settings number may need to be re-entered again, seeing that you are a AT&T customer call the Helpdesk for further support on this issue...
Starts up ok then switches straight off even after
Sounds like it might be a voltage leak on the circuit board inside the phone. Probably be cheaper to replace the phone than to have it fixed. Check with your provider and see if they have a upgrade deal.
Screen
The phone uses two magnets which are located behind the lcd screen to
sense when the screen has been swiveled away. There are two sensors
which are built into the keyboard which senses the change in magnetic
flux. I guess that there are two so that one can determine to which
direction the screen was swiveled. So what could happen, is that the
keyboard does not make proper contact with the main board within the
phone and this can be the cause to the problem. It seems like when too
much pressure is applied to the keyboard over time, that the contact
pads on the keyboard wears out. So by replacing the keyboard pcb, the
problem would likely be solved. One could of course try to fix these
pads. One other possibility is that there is something wrong with the
magnets behind the lcd. Either missing or misplaced or they are so old
that they do not have a sufficient magnetic flux any longer, but I
guess that is less likely.
Need help dont no how to get my phone on all networks
Hi Katie,
The easiest and simplist way to get this 'open to all networks' or 'unlocked' would be to take it to 'dodgy larry' on hi sstall in town and get them to do it for about £10.
I have looked around fro you and the codes people are offering for 'FREE' are actually of no use at all.
Hope this helps,
Karlos
