Hi, My Viewsonic vg2021wm says

All the caps with the white paste or dots in the middle or swollen tops (convex) need to be replaced and jointly could be responsible for your hassle. Don't confuse a leaking ca with one that has some real hard epoxy like material or glue (usually white) holding it in place.

The drivers for eton webcam microphone inbuilt?

The driver is available via a CD-ROM disc that came with the monitor. Please check the website for the driver. Otherwise contact ViewSonic technical support for assistance.

It will be cheaper to replace it than to pay $60 to $100 per hour to a qualified technician to _attempt_ to repair it.

Trying to pack

Few steps to take the stand and base off the 22" ViewSonic VX2235WM 1- Squeeze the bottom of the base to take the base off from the collar 9_12_2012_2_30_26_am.jpg 9_12_2012_2_35_10_am.jpg2-This step is very important. Monitor shows on receiving signal, will not display image.

Hello,

The Viewsonic VX2235WM has a known issue with the power supply going out. The flashing power light or no picture is the classic symptoms of this issue. Check out our web site at: www.ccl-la.com. We have a step by step repair guide posted that will guide to doing the repair yourself. It involves changing a few capacitors on the power supply. If you can solder then you should be able to do the repair yourself. If you don't want to do the repair we do offer a repair service for $35 plus return shipping. ViewSonic VX2235wm have to power on and off

The power supply finally died due to bad caps. See my pictures here:

Make sure to replace them in a set.

Capacitors kit: http://lcdalternatives.auctivacommerce.com/ he can make you a set of caps for you.

Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

Instructions on how to disassemble and fix a Viewsonic VX2235WM

Moniter flips out after it warms up

I repaired my VX2235WM that wouldn't turn the display on anymore (would accept a video signal for a PC, but no image would be shown) by replacing 5 stressed electrolytic capacitors on the power supply board.

My monitor screen does not turn on at the

Hello,A monitor that is slow to show a picture is a good indication of a power supply that is in the first stages of failure. The filter capacitors are not holding a charge correctly and it takes a bit to get up to full change and the power supply can start up. Here is a link to a repair guide that show how to open the unit and what to look for and replace to rebuilt the power supply board. No power to vx2235wm. How can I fix it?

Black screens or no pictures are usually caused by a failure in the back light power supply. Many times the monitor is working but with the back lights not turning on you can't see the display. Screen blanks after 3 seconds

Viewsonic uses cheap caps in their monitors, so look for bad caps with bulging top, replace them in a set.

The short answer is no, becuase by time you pay the $50 for the backlight, and $75/hour for the tech to fix it, you can buy another 22inch for the same price and have a 5 year warrinty.
