I have a Puxing 777 vhf radio which is stuck in channel mode. It will not reset to frequency mode when I turn it on whilst pressing enter. Is there another way? many thanks in advance

try this: The only known way to get VFO mode to work again is to connect the radio to a PC with a kenwood-compatible programming lead and use the puxing 6in1 software to turn off the lock option.

Super Star DM-507-4. 4 pin Mic to a Yeasu FT-301. Cannot seem to find this. Please Help.

I did a lot of digging around. Your FT-301 is a nice radio. However the service manual does not have the mic "pin out. " The Ham Forums do not have the mic wiring either. I did find that almost all mics are not wired the same as the Yaesu. Could you just buy a Yaesu mic? Sorry I cannot find this.

Even saying ICOM would help people to help you. That radio requires software and a programming cable adapter. It is new enough to do Narrow band. Best bet is to find an ICOM dealer to program it for you. That way, it will be on legal frequencies. Your unit is VHF, so it cannot talk to GMRS over the counter radios. It is a decent radio, we sold them and the battery life was good. Ask more if you want to know more.

Your scanner was also marketed as the GRE PSR-244, and it's nearly identical to the Radio Shack PRO-62. I couldn't locate a manual for the Commtel or GRE, but you download/print instructions for the PRO-62 here:

Make certain the AM/FM radio is off. You cannot squelch when it is on. Try adjusting again. If it does not stop the squelch noise, the switch is dirty or broken. To go further means taking it apart. You will try to "clean" the switch. Do you want to take it apart?

Try using the manual if you can't see any button that say time, or menu on it. That radio is subject to a lot of complaints, that is what you get when you shop for cheap electronics. Some buttons have to be held down for a few seconds to get into a hidden feature, like setting the time.

You might have to reset it, that is if it paired before with the same device. Know that Blue Tooth has different versions and some don't work with other versions of bluetooth. But your post sounds like it worked before you reset it, so it may just be that easy.

I have just got a Milwaukee tool job site radio the older model of the two I bought it in Canada and operates on odd frequencies on fm but here in New Zealand we operate on even frequencies. Any help would be much appreciated.

Radio frequencies are different from country to country. NZ will use different frequencies than Canada. Canada and the USA have agreements in place because they border each other on what freq. is used for what. NZ likely has its own list. Your radio is not programmable to NZ frequencies. Sorry!

Radio Shack has a pretty good search feature for old instructions on their website. You will need their part number off the unit, which will be something like "20-321". Do a search and you can get a PDF instruction manual for it online.
