Whirlpool MH1150XM Convection/Microwave Oven Questions & Answers
My MH1150XMS-4 just stopped working suddenly.
The main fuse or the thermal cutout is probably blown. If the main fuse is blown, most likely the high voltage capacitor is shorted and must be replaced. If this is the case, it's a good idea to also replace the high voltage diode because it took a large over-current hit before the fuse blew. Be sure the oven is unplugged before measuring the resistance of the fuse or capacitor (the diode should read open in both directions because the forward voltage is more than a typical ohmmeter can put out). (Note: replacing the fuse without identifying and fixing the short or overload will simply waste the new fuse. It's not like the old farmhouse with one fuse for a dozen outlets going out because one item too many was plugged in.) The capacitor is available on Amazon for less than $17 (be sure the voltage and uF values match the one in your oven), the diode is about half of that, and the fuse should be under $3.
If the thermal cutout is blown, check the magnetron cooling provisions - make sure the fan turns freely, the blades are clean, and all vents are clean. After replacing the thermal cutout, verify that magnetron cooling fan runs at speed when the oven is running. Keep your hands and tools out of the oven if you are testing it with the cover off. The high voltage side can be energized by as much as 1800 Volts. An arc from this can cause serious damage or personal injury.

How to replace the door handle on a whirlpool MH2155XPQ micro wave
The screws that hold on the handle are inside the door assembly. Here is the way its done but its not for the average person. On the inside of the door is a plastic frame all the way around the door. It is held in place by plastic tabs. You have to gently pry off that frame with something like a putty knife or small screw driver. If you are not careful you end up breaking off some of the tabs. Once that frame is off you should have access to the 2 screws holding on the handle. Remove screws---replace handle---and push plastic frame back on.

How do I access the fuses
You may have a bad fuse. It should be located behind the control panel. The fuse will look like the old auto glass fuses about 1/4 diameter and 1 1/4 inch long but made out of a ceramic material you can't see through. Color could be white--brown or a gray color. Amp size will be stamped on the end usually 15 or 20 amps. Should be a few screws around control panel to get it loose.

Whirlpool microwave model mh1150xmb
please test this steps and fix it. God bless you
- Light bulbIf your
microwave light bulb is not working, perhaps it has blown. The first
step is to replace the bulb and power on the microwave. If this does not
correct the issue, the next step is to check the socket and wiring to
verify if that is the problem.
- Light bulb socket & main control boardIf
your microwave light bulb is not working after the installation of a
new bulb, check the light socket as well as the wiring to ensure they
are properly operating. If these sources are functioning properly, the
next step is to check for a faulty control board as a possible root
cause to your microwave light bulb malfunction.

I have a whirlpool mh1150xms-3 and the handle is
Unplug the microwave oven from its power outlet or turn off its circuit breaker. Remove the right fuse from the home fuse-box if your microwave is a built-in model.
Open the microwave door and take the top pin off its pivot bracket. Lift up the door and remove it from the bottom bracket. Lay the microwave door with its front side down on a folded towel. Remove the two choke screws from the door frame using a Phillips head screwdriver.
Remove the choke cover with the knife blade, starting from the microwave door's top right corner. Pry out the bottom and top right sides, leaving the side which houses the door handle in place.
Remove the choke tabs from their slots on the microwave door frame using the knife blade. Continue to work clockwise around your microwave door; remove the choker cover when you get to your handle's side to separate it from your choke.
Remove the two handles with the Phillips screwdriver. Remove the handle from the microwave.
Screw the new handle in the position of the original handle. Lay the choke on the microwave door; set the choke cover right on top of it. Insert the choke tabs into their slots on the microwave door frame using the knife blade.
Secure the two choke screws using a Phillips head screwdriver; set the microwave door back on the bottom bracket. Slide the top pin into the microwave's pivot bracket.
Press the top pin down until it pops securely into place.

Microwave Model # MH1150XMS-3
F2 Error
"F2" on a Whirlpool means you have a shorted membrane keypad. It's not uncommon for it to be intermittent or partially operable, too.
On some models, you have to peel off the old keypad and stick on a new one. If
you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have
uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically
involved. It's here.
On some models, the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part,
so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly which comes
with a new keypad.
In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame. That is a simple DIY job.
You can find
helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full
model number (with suffix) from the tag on the oven here.
At
our Web site, we have a video
available showing how to remove a typical
over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.
If you have to replace the frame, you unplug the keypad (as per the photo below) and move the circuit board into your frame.
Some connectors on the relays may have a lock:

A code of F2 appears on the LED clock timer - not
Hi,
F2 is a bad keyboard error code. Try this, unplug the unit, open the control panel
and disconnect the ribbon cable from the control board, plug back in, if f2
comes back on the board needs replacing, if it does not, then the problem is
with the keypad.
You can visit this
link if you need any help regarding replacement of the touch pad.
Hope this helps. Thanks and have a nice day.

I have a Whirlpool Microwave
There are fuses in some models and they are usually located inside the oven near the door and control panel. Not all models use them though. My gues is the magnatron on your unit drew in too much moisture and shorted out. The fusese are normally is behind the control panel. The control panel opens by removing just one or two screws and possibly lifting up slightly to unhook from cabinet -BUT UNPLUG UNIT BEFORE DOING ANYTHING

Bulb burned out but will not work with new
We see (and repair) this
a lot. The problem is on the control panel, which
we regularly repair nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a
week or so.
Or you can order a new control circuit board.
You can find handy exploded views and order parts by model number here.
At
our Web site, you can get details of our
service, plus we have a video
available showing how to remove a typical
over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.
This light failure often
occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament
shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first
unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a
failure on the controller.
The lights can can be
inoperable or stuck on or stuck in "night light" mode. Sometimes this will similarly
affect the fan operation or inside light, too.

That's probably a failed door switch or door switch mount.
It's a pretty simple do it yourself fix. See
this helpful file on door switches.
