My samsung monitor all of

Remove your HDMI cable from the Cable box, replace it with Component Cables. Do not use HDMI with Cable.
Normally if everything is green using component cables it would be because the Red/Blue cables are not fully inserted somewhere either on the display or on the source device. But since when you turn it on, with no source connected at all and it is green it sounds like it is a defective TV.

TVs in the world and here is another fine example of there quality work. This is a firmware problem that the LG engineers should know about. Contact LG and inform them of this problem. Maybe they already have a firmware update for your TV, if not, then they need to start work on this issue.

I have been racking my brains trying to fix my boyfriend's new Samsung TV which gets the dreaded "green screen." Being a former PC Tech I knew there had to be a work around. The issue seems to be an incompatibiity with the receiver and cable box which sees it as a repeater.

Today I actually found it by accident fooling around with the cable tv box settings. BTW it is a Motorola Cable box.
This went all the way to the Engineer who had no solution as you all have experienced.

Here is what I did...
Turned off the Cable Box and pressed the menu setting on the remote till a white screen popped up.

Scroll down and disable the overide settings turn to off

Then scroll down to additional hdmi settings and hit enter

Change it from hdmi to dvi

Then exit and turn your cable box back on

Your screen will flicker a bit and then focus back to normal

Now try changing your channels from sd to hd it should be fixed.

All TV have boards that control vertical and horizontal output to their respective areas. They are connected to the screen by ribbon cables.

If one of these boards fails all together, has a failed chip, a bad connection, or a bad ground somewhere it will result in a black line in the area of that board. A bad ribbon cable connection on the bottom will result in a vertical black bar though the screen.

Many times resetting the connection will fix it, if the ribbon cable has been nicked there could be a severed connection. They an sometimes be fixed, but it is a pain. An yes I have done it, but the bar is gone. The same will happen if the chip that outputs to that area opens.

The connectors are the first place to look paying close attention to the cable, they are extremely delicate so great care must be taken if you decide to tinker with em, the usually have lift locks that release them.

Having issues with my samsung

since no one answered this, I had the same issue, It was pretty basic but when nothing is connected to the screen (the DVI cable is not connected to any device) it loops in red green blue and white. So just connect something to it and it should work. This monitor is not the most practical since it has no menu and just 1 port.

Samsung SyncMaster 305T One-half of the

This problem is, as you suspected, almost certainly a problem with your monitor's backlight.

However, there are a number of possible causes for a backlight problem besides a bad fluorescent bulb. The bulb must receive a good supply of power in order to operate and that power is controlled via a number of circuits.

By far the most common cause of backlight failure is a problem on the POWER SUPPLY circuit board. Poor quality components, overheating, or just old age will lead to component failures on the power supply circiut board, usually starting with the electrolytic capacitors. Bad capacitors are sometimes obvious to spot in that they are often scorched, have bulging tops or are leaking dark gunk from the inside. However, also be aware that some failed components have no outward signs at all.

If you are handy with a screwdriver and have a basic knowledge of electrical safety precautions, then you can just disassemble the unit and replace the power supply board yourself with a new one from EBay. Here is a link to one that is available for your model:

http://cgi.ebay.com/SAMSUNG-305T-Power-Board-BN96-03938A-/270693008629?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f068f84f5

Just stay away from ay that say AS IS in their description of condition, this is EBay-speak for broken. Make sure it says TESTED WORKING or something similar in the desription and you should be OK.

If you are really handy with a soldering iron, you can actually order just the capacitors and replace the components yourself. Here is a link to a good supplier of repair kits for that model of monitor:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Repair-Kit-Samsung-305T-LCD-Monitor-/330499791296?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cf35299c0

The problem could also be with the INVERTER CIRCUIT but most often those types of failures will not be intermittent as you describe.

Good luck.

Joe.

My samsung monitor 305t can

You're either using a single link DVI cable (you need a dual link DVI cable for 2560x1600 resolution), or your video card doesn't support dual link DVI (which is required).

Having issues flashing screens on

It is not the lcd panel.
It is probably in the video input board (also called a logic board)
It is going through the colors while it is trying to locate a signal.
First, try restarting the computer with the monitor on.
If that does not work, try a different dvi cable .

The screen flickers badly.

Now try looking at the probable source of the problem.
Not the backlight or inverter or power supply, But the controller card on the lcd panel.

Samsung 55 TV White vertical patches?

It sounds like you might be dealing with backlight bleeding or an issue with the LED backlighting in your TV. This can sometimes occur over time due to normal wear and tear or manufacturing defects. If it started as a faint single brighter section and has now expanded to four, it's likely a hardware issue. While it may not be an easy fix, contacting the manufacturer's customer support or a professional technician would be a good next step to diagnose and possibly repair the problem. If you'd like, you can share the pictures for a more accurate assessment.

Why is my Samsung plasma tv screen becoming dark suddenly meanwhile it's on and still functioning

Hello. You can check HDMI cable in this case. If you're using an HDMI port that's not working well or has been damaged, it could result in a darker-than-usual screen. If you switch the cable or change devices and the TV is at a regular brightness, this is the case.

Samsung VHS VR8360C - if i use a three colour av cable on the VHS end and go to an HDMI connector at LG tv end will this work or do I need a converter?

The old yellow, red, white RCA cables are analogue signals, while HDMI cables only carry data. They are in no way compatible. You can buy active conversion boxes that will convert analog to digital, but simple cables cannot work

Remote code for Samsung remote to LG tv

It can't be done. The Samsung remote will be single frequency for that Samsung device only and the LG remote for that television (or series) only. Companies don't make cross-control between makers easy. The only exception is cable and satellite boxes to allow their remote to also control the television. If you have lost a remote or it doesn't work, this is the answer https://www.fixya.com/support/r29872378-universal_remotes_no_facsimile_remote ..
