When i put videos it say empty

Unlike an Ipod, you will need to install the RCA SMV Video Converter software which helps you convert your videos into a supported format for use with your RCA player Click HERE for converter. Do not install the RCA video converter because it is not for your model. After you download the converter, install it and re-boot your computer. Import your video file into the converter, let it transcode the video into the proper format and then upload to your MP3 player. If you have any further issues with your player click HERE for the manual. I hope this helps and good luck!

It saying that profiling requires 20mb free space

You need to remove some of the files that are on your player. You can do this by accessing your device through your computer (go to My Computer and open the drive letter associated with your device). Navigate to media on your device that you want to remove and delete it. You likely only need to remove 7-10 songs to ensure that you have made enough space for profiling.

How do i put videos on my opal mp3

Log onto the RCA website and download the RCA SMV Video Converter. The Opal only plays videos that are in one specific format. This converter will put your videos into that exact format (see Resources below).
  • Install the RCA SMV Video Converter once you have downloaded the software.
  • Open the RCA SMV Video Converter software to begin putting videos onto your RCA Opal.
  • Connect the RCA Opal to your computer using the USB chord that came with the device.
  • Wait until the RCA SMV Video Converter software reads that the device has been connected. You will know this when the bottom of the software screen reads “Player Detected: Opal 1GB 2GB.”
  • Select the “Browse” option to find any videos that are on your computer which you wish to add to the RCA Opal.
  • Click the box next to “Transfer output files to OPAL 1GB 2GB after conversion is complete” after you have selected all of the videos which you wish to convert. This will automatically add the videos to your RCA Opal after they have been converted.
  • Click the “Convert” box after you have selected all of the videos. The videos will automatically begin to convert to the correct format. Once they have been converted, your videos will automatically upload to your RCA Opal.

How do i put girl videos on my mp3

    1. Connect your MP3 player to your computer using the supplied USB cable. The cable hooks into the bottom of the player.
    2. Open Windows Media Player on your computer. If your MP3 player is connected properly, the media player will display The Name Of Your Player in its menu. This is where you place your video files.
    3. Locate the video file you want to put on your MP3 player and select it by clicking on it with your computer's mouse.
    4. Once the video is selected, "drag" the video across the media player to your mp3 players name display on the player.
    5. When your player's name display lights up, release the mouse to "drop" the video into your MP3 player's video file.
    6. Repeat the process to place additional videos.

    Turning it on

There might be an issue with the firmware that is currently on the device. Sometimes the flash gets corrupted.
Download the firmware update from the Audiovox Help website: http://voxrightnow.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1415/kw/M4001/p/158/page/2/r_id/103795

Follow the instructions to install the firmware on your device. Be sure to back up any important media on your player in case the firmware reflash erases it all.

My rca opal m4204-a says initializing and thats it

As long as the computer enumerates the drive (you can see it in My Computer as a drive letter) then there is likely an issue with the firmware.

Download the firmware install from the RCA website: http://voxrightnow.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2558
Follow the on-screen instructions to perform the install.
Be sure to back up any important media before performing this install.

If your computer does not recognize it, press and hold the play button while connecting the device for upwards of 30 seconds.

    My opal is supposed to

There's something I have to ask; at what bitrate are your MP3's recorded, and, for the most part... are they less than 5MB in size?

If they're set at a standard 128kbs, AND file size is chiefly kept below 5MB, you should achieve the number of songs you expect.

If you have WMA files, and/or MP3's that are not playing at 128kbs, you need to convert them.

Get yourself a decent FREE audio converter from http://www.koyotesoft.com/indexEn.html

Set it to save "output files" as MP3 at 128-kbs, in whatever folder you choose.

My MP3 player is not showing the name of songs or

Have you tagged them? If they are just named in windows, the name will not show. They have to be tagged. You can tag your files with free programs you can download from the net, everybody is different, you will have to look and see which one you like best. If you use Itunes it will tag for you but then it still has to be saved to be seen by some mp3 players. To save the tags left by itunes you have to have a tagging program, reopen the file and then save the tag. Hope this helps.
