Stokke has been contacted about this problem a few times and they offer a replacement piece that you insert yourself so that the system does not descend and it will be secured tighter. Just call them or email them...they are very good about helping you out with these problems even if your stroller is second-hand or no longer under warranty. Their Customer Service is amazing!

I own a Stokke Xplory Stroller too...and although I have not had this problem...I know about it.

Hi,

If you contact http://www.stokke.com/en-gb/contact-us.aspx you should be able to purchase this part. This is called the bumper bar and attaches in front of the seat unit.
ALternatively, any retailer that stocks Stokke products should be able to order this for you.

Hi I have the same issue with my Brake - we have called Stokke who say that a full new fishtail (back section that folds in needs to be replaced, the price to do this £180!! Including shipping.
I think i could replace the section in about 5 minutes, but there just doesn't seem to be Parts department anywhere :-( We have our 8 month old using this as her mode of transport just now, since her big sister has outgrown it, so long since passed it's 3year cover period.
