This indicates a problem in the cameras tape transport system and can be caused by several problems including the transmission gear in the tape mechanism not engaging properly, a defective clutch in the take-up spool or a faulty rotary mode switch. This will require disassembling the camera to diagnose and repair and can be done fairly inexpensively. However, it's not really a user serviceable problem and should be repaired by a qualified service technician.

This is usually caused by an oxidized or defective Audio/Video drum. Try running a cleaning tape through the camera. If this does not solve the problem the camera will need to be serviced by a qualified service technician.

You have a weak capacitor that will not give enough power to keep the lens opened for use. The cost to repair it can cost as much as a new camera like it

The timing cam is misaligned. It will need to be disassembled and realigned. Do not force anything to avoid further damage. Take it in to a camera shop.
