Yes, you can. Go to a local electronics store or go online and buy a cable (we used to call them patch cords back in the day) with a 1/8" STEREO plug, (also called a mini phone plug) on one end and two phono plugs (also called RCA plugs) on the other end. They're available in various lengths -- 12" is a good choice. We're talking less than $10 here. Connect the RCA plugs into an appropriate pair of unused INPUT jacks on the back of your receiver -- CD, VCR1, Tape Monitor/VCR2 will do. DO NOT use the phono jacks. The red plug is for the right channel. You can leave the cable plugged in. Then whenever you want to listen to your iPod, insert the mini phone plug into the iPod's earphone jack, switch the receiver to the input for the cable, and start playing. You may have to increase the volume on your iPod to avoid having to turn the receiver all the way up (or down) to listen, but after that you can use the receiver's volume control.

The SA-AK57 is the center of the SC-AK57 mini stereo home theater system. The included speakers have color coded wiring for the front speakers. One speaker connects to the red and black terminals on the SA-AK57; the other speaker connects to the blue and grey terminals. Push on the top of the terminal levers and insert the bare copper wire into the opening. Then release the lever. The center, right and left speakers use a single RCA or banana-plug connection and plug straight into the jacks on the SA-AK57. Panasonic has the manual for the SC-AK57 on the product page: https://shop.panasonic.com/support-only/SC-AK57.html . The current link to the manual is ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/audio/om/sc-ak57_en_om.pdf . See page 7 for the speaker wiring. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Turning a wired speaker into a wireless speaker would be difficult and disproportionately expensive. Each amplifier channel will need a transmitter and each speaker a receiver, a preamplifier and power amplifier and a power source capable of supplying the whole for a reasonable time before recharging. If you choose wireless (radio) to transmit to each speaker the frequencies will have to be adjusted so they don't conflict. If the speakers are to be used within sight of the base then infrared transmitters and receivers could be the answer, similar to that used with some of the early wireless headphones.

Possibly because components in the amplifier chains have been overstressed and consequently failed. The output stages are frequently affected by high gain levels.

It it worked before, you need the amplifier servicing. You have blown components by overloading it.

Possibly a blown channel causing it to enter safe mode or Wait mode.

The drive must have a pin-hole in front. Use a needle/pin in that hole and press it. It may help to unlock the tray. Give that a try.
