Problem with my kodakz712 error l02
Hi,
this is a hardware error of the lens. You can't repair it by yourself. You have to send in the camera in for the repair. Contact kodak under 1-800-235-6325 or follow the step-by-step solution tool under www.kodak.com/go/itg.
My Kodak Z712 is changing modes by itself from one
I would try spinning the selector knob back and forth a few times to see if it cleans up the contacts otherwise i think you will be sending it in for service. I love my 712is. But check on repair costs,, might get the 812 or 1015 cheaper and they use your battery's and cards.

Problem with memory card going bad on this camera.
There are no known issues in that regard with your model, so it could just be the card. Like all electronic devices they do sometimes fail or become damaged but are generally incredibly reliable.
But unless you try another card, you've no way of knowing... A subsequent identical failure would be almost unheard of and would then point the finger of blame firmly at your camera.
Note that if your card is from a major brand name then they often have very long or even lifetime warranties; I've even returned faulty cards with a polite covering letter which were clearly out of warranty and had them replaced with new ones without any quibbles for just the shipping costs.
How do you get pictures out of internal memeory
Press the Review button, then press the Menu button. Use up/down to highlight "Copy", then press OK. Select the desired options then press OK. Note that this copies, not moves. If you want to remove the originals, you have to delete them.
If you want to change where the pictures are stored, select "Image Storage" from the Setup menu.
Z712 IS screen is white & blue with horizontal & vertical lines
It is not possible to buy a viewing screen for KODAK cameras.
An Out of Warranty repair for this model for this fault is about 88 pounds + shipping. KODAK also offers a Trade up option where you will have the opportunity to trade up to a newer model 25-30% cheaper than the market price.

Powers on then powers off
If the camera
has recently been dropped it may have lens damage that is preventing it from powering up. If it hasn't been dropped, your problem is likely due to weak/worn out batteries
or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can
prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera.
Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and
wipe the camera contacts firmly with
a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush,
steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen
into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of
the batteries, place them back in the camera, and give them a good charge (assuming that you're using rechargeable batteries). This cleaning clears
the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, your batteries may need to be replaced, or the camera may have
a problem that requires professional repair.
If this response helps, please post a rating for me. "Very Helpful" would be appreciated . .
TAKING NIGHT SUNSET PICTURES
this is becouse your not setting the "white balance"
up in the camera first,,,some digital cameras have a manual set up for "white balance" what the camera is doing is trying to put the color cast thats in a sun set right so it looks like day light,,,and you wont that color cast in the pitcher to give it that feeling,,,unless you over ride this white balance you will never get the color you are after,,, i use 35 mm film for sun sets
it will wip a digital camera every time here,,
but its horses for corses, good luck with your sun sets,,, but over ride that white balance first if you can
