Honeywell L4064B2236 Fan/Limit Control Heater - Page 8 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Love the honey well product. Probably has a blown fuse. May be in the plug portion of cord or in the fan itself.

Just check that the times set to come on and off are correct. Am and pm. Also make sure the selection of once, twice, 24Hr(on) and off is selected correctly, does the clock switch the clock off on hot water ok?
When the heating goes off does it go off on the clock but still heat up could be passing valve if hot water is still on ?? But have had a few where the switches fail in the unit. Hope this my shed some light

The Honeywell RTH2300B is not appropriate for any multi-stage heating/coolling system. See https://www.honeywellstore.com/store/products/5-2-day-programmable-thermostat-honeywell-rth2300b.htm . This limitation is the last item listed in the Features section of the thermostat product information.

I hope this helps.

Cover the bare end of the C wire with electrical tape so that it doesn't contact any of the other wires or parts of the Honeywell thermostat. The C wire carries continuous power from the red wire to some thermostats; this is required for some of the Smart thermostats (with the ability to communicate with your wireless computer network).

The installation directions for the thermostat include how to handle the C wire when installing the RTH2300B. You can find the manual on the product page in several places, including the Honeywell product site: https://www.honeywellstore.com/store/products/5-2-day-programmable-thermostat-honeywell-rth2300b.htm . The direct link to the manual is https://www.honeywellstore.com/store/images/pdf/rth2300b1012-u-5-2-day-programmable-thermostat.pdf .

I hope this helps.

If you're using this for your baseboard heat the most likely cause of short cycling is the location of the thermostat. If the thermostat is located too close to the heater it will sense the room is warm enough and turn off.

likely the thermostat batteries need to be replaced. Honeywell typically uses 2 AA batteries. Try gently pulling the bottom of the thermostat away from the wall. Once you disengage it from the wall plate, turn it over and look for the battery access panel. Replace with batteries as specified on the cover panel. don't remove the old batteries until you have new ones to install.

On the thermostat, the two temp readings are showing two different settings, one is the setting temp that you are selecting, and the other is the room temp.
