Magimix 5100 Cuisine Systeme Food Processor - Page 3 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

I have a Magimix Cuisine 5200XL (so not quite your model...) and have watched dirt and other not so nice stuff build up inside the handle. I long hesitated trying to remove the handle, afraid I would break it, but today using a regular knife (the kind you eat with) I carefully pried the handle loose. With some insertion of the knife at the top, bottom and sides in the crack between the white (or other color for you perhaps) pat of the handle and the transparent part of the handle I was able to get it off. I then cleaned it, and afterwards it snapped nice back in to place again.

Return it for refund or replacement under warranty.

Vintage equipment - hard to find a manual, and prior questions on FIXYA did not find a manual online. I would open the back and check that the belt that helps it spin hasn,t dislodged or come loose

The manufacturer will not ship outside of the UK, but I suspect you already know that. I have found several other suppliers. probably not as the original would be stronger that any glue used find a shop that caters to kitchen trade and ask them contact the manufacturer direct ( spares) and ask them where the distributor spares is in that country

Check to see if the motor burned out by doing a continuity test of motor windings.

Check that the bit on the lid that activates the switch pushing mechanism in the bowl is working properly.

Contact the manufacturer at their 800 #. You will likely need to purchase a new lid.

If you are making it do alot of work it may be slowing down enough to heat up. This will trip a thermal cutoff. Fortunately that one resets and you don't have to have an expensive repair. But now it may have overheated a few times and will start to burn off the varnish that insulates one winding from another. It will eventually burn out if you work it too hard. Can you get a more powerful one? Do you do this often?

cannot release bowl, tried turning to release won`t turn!

I solved the problem by contacting the retailer i bought it from who promptly gave me the 'missing' blade from one of his other 4200XL units. He said it must have been accidentally packed at the manufacturers without it.
Happy Customer now :)
