20 Most Recent Frigidaire PLD2855RFC Dishwasher Questions & Answers

Good Morning Friend,

I understand that water is not coming into your Frigidaire dishwasher, model# PLD2855RFC. There are a couple of things that I would check.

First, check to make sure the water supply is fully turned on.

Secondly, check to make sure the overfill protector moves up and down. The overfill protector keeps your dishwasher from overfilling and is located in the left front corner of the tub. The overfill protector should move up and down freely about one inch. If it does not move, lift and clean underneath. Clean this occasionally with household cleaner containing vinegar or bleach to dissolve any buildup.

I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your washer status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

I personally would contact a professional if the heating element was installed correctly and is pulling power, if the air dry setting is not selected, and you do not have any other error codes.

Check your drain hose for clogs. Bits of food can get caught in here and stop the water from draining.

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

As a rule, dishwasher's are wired direct into the power, and are not plugged in.
2nd GFI's are not good for dishwasher's the motors like to trip them.

you can remove the lower panel and check the power, to the right. If you have the proper tools.

If you have power at the connection, under the machine, then you must have a defective control board.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Rate/Vote on my response. We take the time to answer your question. take the time to rate us.Thanks and good luck

Hi, First, is your drain pump coming on at all? if not it may be the control board at fault. if it is coming on you need to make sure that the drain line you have the dishwasher hooked to is clear all the way down. IF it is easily accessible then you can pull in out and run the line into a bucket to check for good flow. then clean the drain line in the house. hope that helps.Good luck

Hi

Error CL appears when the dishwasher control detects door switch is open or door is open. You'll have to open the door and check the continuity of the door switch. If the door seems to be closed then it is the control has detected an issue with the door latch. Check the door latch & seals to make sure door is closing fine. Unplug the dishwasher from power outlet and wait for 10-15 minutes. Restart the dishwasher and check if the error is still there. If error still appears then you'll need to repalce the door switch/door latch. Hope this helps... Please post back for further assistance.

Your motor relay is not working, and in effect, the electronic control assembly will need to be replaced. This is a common problem for dishwashers that are either brand new or have been used for about 4-5 years. The relay will send too much energy to the control panel, and in effect, the control panel will overheat or short out.

Usually it is held with a push-on plastic plug. If the plug won't hold the arm in place, replace the plug. Good luck!

This just happened to me. The spinner arm fell off. It left behind two pieces of plastic attached to the roof of the machine: a grey sunburst shape, and within that, a white circle with two prongs. It looks like the spinner arm should snap onto the white circle with prongs . . . but you can't just press it back on, because there is no resistance on the other side and the white circle just becomes displaced instead of snapping together.

But the good news is that the grey sunburst screws on and off! Unscrew it until it comes free from the roof of your machine. Now snap the white circle and the spinner arm together, with the grey sunburst between them. Give it a test spin to make sure it's all together and working, and then screw the whole assembly back onto the roof of your dishwasher.

Apologies for the lack of pictures . . . this must sound crazy to anyone who's not looking at what I'm looking at--but it worked!
