First you should take the deck out and the yellow wire is your memory it shoul have full time power and not hooked to your dash lights this will cure your memory problem and possibly the cd problem. If you know how to use a multi meter test all wires on DC setting on meter and your looking for 12 volts all the time key switch on or off for the yellow memory wire then for the red wire you need 12 volts only when the key switch is turned on. My car is an old classic and has no ACC position. My choices were to wire it solely to the ignition live (and lose the unit presets when turned off) or to make it permanently live, so I chose the latter. It's a inexpensive amp, and poorly made. the amplifier failed. you won't be able to fix it unless you open it up and happen to have a degree in electrical engineering, or have the schematics to that particular amp and access to the parts like the transistors/finals and power supply bits to replace the damaged parts. chances are you blew mosfet(s) in that case the amp is a paperweight.
