make sure that the belt is still hooked up under deck

May be a broken belt under the platter.

If it is still under warranty then it's best to get in touch with Crosley and get them to send an engineer out. It's perhaps an out of place switch or broken one.

Loading mechanism fault. Check the loading belt. If it is broken, CD won't eject, or load well inside the mechanism. If loading motor is damaged, this kind of fault can occur. There is a small motor under the turntable that either uses a belt to turn it or has a rubber tired roller that sets up against it and spins. You will probably be able to find a belt or rubber wheel at a TV repair shop. Some models had an adjustment on them and can be adjusted but more than likely you will need a new belt or rubber tire.
