HELP: Stopped spinning

It's likely the belt has slipped of and probably needs replacing. You can do this yourself. It will be found under the turntable matt. The trick though is fitting it back on. But you might find the instructions on-line (enter the model number into google search). Some people have even put YouTube video's on how to replace the belt on popular turntables.

The channels are reversed. The red lead is the

If it a PROPER head-shell the leads DO come off the pins at the rear of the cartridge.

Also if you are using EXTERNAL speaker it may be that the speaker leads are incorrectly wired to the speakers and that would simply be a matter of swapping the external speaker outputs over.

CR74-S ..THE CD PLAYER HAS NEVER WORKED..IT WILL

Unfortunately it is the laser pickup that is the problem, if it has not worked from day one it was flawed from manufacture, and if you happen to have warranty left I suggest you use it now, simply because to replace the assembly would not be cost effective.

Pitch fluctuation

It is caused by the turntable not turning steadily. More than likely it is mechanical probably caused by defective belt drive. If the change in pitch is in regular interval then more than likely it is mechanical. It can be caused electrically when current or voltage fluctuates casuing the turntable to go faster or slower. Fixing this problem requires opening the unit. Check the belt it may be loose or stretched or may a debris is stucked on it.

How to manually open eject Crosley CR248 CD drawer

  1. Uh, I think you already have a solution but the following may help someone else.
  2. Ensure that the device is powered on.
  3. Press the "Function" button (28/58) to set the unit to CD mode.
  4. Press the "Open/Close" button (19/48) to open the CD drawer.
  5. Insert a CD into the tray with the label side facing up.
  6. Press the "Open/Close" button again to close the CD drawer.
If the above steps don't work, you can try the following:
  1. Unplug the device from the power outlet.
  2. Wait for a few minutes.
  3. Plug the device back in.
  4. Press the "Open/Close" button to see if the CD drawer opens.
If the drawer still doesn't open, there might be a mechanical issue with the device. Look for the Fixya advise referred to above. If if that doesn't work, in that case, it's best to contact Crosley's customer support for further assistance.

I have a Crosley CR80 gold series 4-1 record player and the records won't spin

Turn the arm that holds the element and needle careful to the far right and the turntable will spin. This is a safety feature for protecting the needle.
