ordered a new ice maker

you can buy a "y" piece that will connect to the washing machine's supply then connect both to that. They are both the same size fitting threads.

Replace the water valve on the back of the ref.. The solenoid is not allowing the valve to entirely shut off and you have a small leak that accumulates as a block of ice in your fill tube.

The valve on the back of the ref. that your home line goes to may be bad. It is a dual valve, one goes to the water in the door and the other to the icemaker.

hi try out the following settings....
Check your temperature setting.
- Check if no ice present in the evaporator, try the defrosting
- Check vents if air is present if no then check your blower if running or icing evaporator.
- Check your vents if not obstructed with stocks, or the unit is not overloaded with stocks.
- Check if compressor is running continues, if not then you need a qualified technician.

• The defrost timer is stuck in defrost mode. Turn the little thumb screw CW and see if compressor starts. If compressor starts and temperature starts to pull down, replace the timer before your evaporator ices up…again.

The door was not "locked" but frozen shut. The last person at the freezer obviously did not close it properly causing the freezer to work overtime to compensate.

Sounds like the evaporator fan is not running. Pull the inside of the freezer back off to expose the motor and replace it.

They work in a very hostile environment or cold, wet, electricity and limescale and bio-slime. WHIRLPOOL WRF40 Solution to this problem!!! very easy ----I assume you have a problem with the control board switching on and of erratic when you pass setting 3 on the LED display, the designers of this fridge left the calculator at home that day, ask a technician to replace the Resistors 5, 6 & 7 (330 OHM 1/4 watt) on your electronic control board with 680 OHM 1/4 watt.
