Is it heating the water? Many machines won't continue the wash cycle if the water temperature isn't achieved. Usually caused by blown heater element. I'm not familiar with your machine but generally it's a matter of removing the back panel, disconnect the terminals to the heater element, undo fixing bolt and pull it out. Should have a resistance of around 50 ohms, but if you're water isn't getting warm it's probably open circuit, ie infinitely high resistance. Replacement element is usually around £20.

Clogged screen on water valve. Turn off both water faucets.Remove hose from valve. Pop out mesh or plastic screen. May be debris. Could be low pressure too if this doesn't help.

They are not designed to be bypassed. Replace the lid lock if defective

Best guess: replace the thermistor-the water temperature sensor. Try a cold water only wash and see if that works. If it does, then the thermistor is probably it.

I would check for a missing sock or hanky etc stuck in one of the hoses. Its obviously not blocked enough to stop the machine from pumping out, but it may be slowing how fast the water comes out. Im not conversant with Amana but if its a belt drive, the belt may be slipping causing a poor spin result.

try re sitting the feet that normally works

Check and see if there is a cup in the top of the agitator. Some machines have you put it there, turning back and forth during wash doesn't bother it, but the spin to empty the wash water causes the softener to go out through slots in the top of the cup and be held in the agitator. when it stops the softener drains into the tub, ready for the rinse cycle.

Hello there and welcome to fixya From what you're describing it sounds like the drain pump is blocked. The nd error code indicates "no drain". If the unit can't drain it won't spin. You're going to have to slide the washer out far enough to remove the rear panel; be careful not to damage the floor. Once you get the rear panel off you will see the pump. Be sure to have plenty of towels & a small container to catch water. I am sending you instructions from the service manual to remove and replace the pump. Another possibility is the drain line is blocked or something is stuck in the tub to pump hose.
