The water valve is acting as if it has something stuck in the valve holding it open just a bit.You need to take it off and take it apart carefully and clean it out.The water valve is the part where the hot and cold hoses hook to the washer.Hope you found this helpful and thank you for using Fix ya.
My Amana Super Capacity Plus
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
The first thing to do is to have the leak investigated by somebody there as we could only offer a list of guesses ;-0)
Once it is empty and carefully lifted onto its side, it should be possible to inspect the hoses and clips and hopefully identify the culprit. In some cases it might even be possible to affect at least a temporary fix whilst obtaining the necessary spare.
Sorry we could be only of limited help in this instance- it's very difficult diagnosing this sort of problem remotely ;-0(
Good luck,

Washer will not agitate or spin
If the unit hums and sounds like it's running but doesn't spin or agitate you've probably got a bad coupler. Open the unit and take the pump and motor off and see if the coupler is broken or missing (This is most often a plastic/rubber part which usually breaks down into three pieces and hooks your transmission to your motor). If it is missing or damaged, replace it. Good luck.
Loose agitator
This may not be an issue, is your agitator a two piece unit? With these, the top 1/2 turns only in one direction and the bottom 1/2 goes back and forth. These setups are somewhat loose and that is okay.
What does happen is the little dogs (ratchets, pawls, that make the top 1/2 turn one direction and not the other) get damaged and need replacement. the 4 of them run about 8 to 10 bucks. A little tricky to install, but well worth it.
The secret to long pawl life is to use MORE than enough water on each load.

remove lower front cabinet usually screw in each lower corner ... more than likely the belt is broken,,, but could be a couple of things that caused it ,,,,
1st i would check to see if the pump is plugged or locked up.... the pump is bolted to the bottom side of motor 3 long torx screws the pump its plastic and usually grey .... motor and the belt is looped inbetween the pump and motor... if these two coponets move freely then its the tub seal and bearing and i would reccomend replacing the unit........
Washer over flowing
you either have a bad valve, bad air switch, or a hole in the air tube leadinf to the switch. An easy way to check the valve is turn the washer on and while its filling unplug it. If the water stops immediately you valve is probobly ok. if it takes a few seconds to stop or doesnt stop at all your valve is bad
